Kevin T. Fisher Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.
My surgeon was Dr. Kevin Fisher of Surgical Associates in Tulsa,Oklahoma.
I have really enjoyed Dr. Fisher's bedside manner, his way of explaining things to me, and making me feel at easy.
I like his nurse, Anita, very much - she is always nice and professional. She has answered my questions when I have called, and listened when I was gripping at the slow procedure my insurance was taking to allow the surgery. But the day she called and said I had a surgery date she seemed to be just as happy as I was.
I only feel that as the patient you need to keep a copy of any paperwork that has to also go to the doctors office, just in case something gets lost - this is for any surgeon though.
I do wish that Surgical Associates had a support group online - that way other patients can communicate with each other and not feel all alone.
My first impression of Dr. Fisher was that he really knew his stuff! He was very friendly and included our granddaughter in things to satisfy her curiosity.rnrnOn the day of surgery, Dr. Fisher was wonderful to keep my husband updated post-surgery and his bedside manner didn't change at the hospital, he was still very personable and friendly. Not a doctor that carries his personality in his back pocket!rnrnI was fully informed of the risks that could occur and given my distance from the office - 3 hour drive - it was great to find a support site for the office, too.rnrnThere are monthly meetings available for support and sharing purposes. They offer a clothing exchange, too.rnrnMy first post-surgery appointment went well and any questions that either my husbnad or I had were answered completely. My granddaughter goes with to my appointments and is 5. She has been very intrigued by the whole experience and Dr. Fisher has really great way with her, too. He never makes us feel rushed in any way, either.

The entire team in Dr. Fisher's office is wonderful. They are responsive to requests, helpful with questions and very professional. A great deal of effort and information is developed with the patient prior to the surgery. A very structured program for after surgery is provided and detailed instructions for food progression. A phone line to a dietitian is extremly helpful.
I think that I had the best surgeon in the world!!! My impression has not changed. Each time that I see him he is very nice and friendly. And gives me very good exams. He also asks me things about my care, and really listens to my answers. He is a very good surgeon. The office staff is great. They are always very helpful, and sympathetic. His nurse is in charge of two support groups and an online support group. This has helped me a great deal.
Dr. Kevin Fisher will be my surgeon. Consult fee was $390.00 for 15 min. He was straight forward and I feel confident in his skills.
Tracey was very nice and helpful. I was denied the first time and approved after appeal.
I was scheduled for my pre-op testing and completed those.
I tried to contact his office and would get voice mail. I felt as if I had just fell through the cracks.
As time went on I became frustrated with his office. They are so busy. I understand this.
It's just so emotionally exhausting.
All I am waiting on is a surgery date. I was told they would call me mid July with a date.
we'll see...
