I was very nervous to meet Dr. Marley. When I did meet him, I found that he is one of the most caring, non-judgmental doctors that I have ever had. I'm 19 years old, and I had already been through a lot, but he motivated me and made sure I knew everything I needed to about the procedure. I am in love with his office staff. They are wonderful! After I had my surgery he was always in, checking on my roommate and I. The night after surgery, my IV had infiltrated (and I flipped out) and he had it taken out because I had already been tried 3 times for an IV. His surgical competence is great, bedside manner is wonderful. He makes as much time as he can for each patient, because he is very busy. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about Dr. Marley. He is simply one of the best.

My, my...I just passed my 6 YEAR anniversary on Thanksgiving. I have so much respect for Dr. Marley, and loved his honesty. I was told that before he did any surgery, he and his OR team prayed together directly before the procedure. That meant so, so much to me. He visited me quite often while in the hospital. I went home on the 4th day, and I healed quickly. I continued my weekly support meetings at Walter Reed Army Hospital where he worked and my surgery was performed for a little over a year. Since then, I went from a 22-24 size pants to a 6. I bounce back and forth from a 6 to an 8 (I can't believe I call them my \"fat\" pants...sheesh!) As far as what I think of Dr. Marley and his bedside manner, well, I believe you can't do better than to have your life in his hands. I did it, it was successful, I've stayed on-track, and my life has changed dramatically. Thank you Dr. Marley. I'll get a picture posted as soon as I can. Good luck to everyone stepping outside their comfort zone to the \"unknown\". Follow the rules afterwards and just do it~!

My first impression of Dr. Marley was that he is very caring. He truly believes in the lap band procedure. His office staff is really good, my husband and I both had wls done. We had problems with husband's insurance & his staff made numerous calls trying to get it worked out. Dr. Marley emphasizes aftercare-he has appointments scheduled for the next year at certain times. There is a support group that meets once a month, and he attends the meetings. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both GREAT!!! I would totally recommend Dr. Marley to anyone even thinking about having wls. His office also holds a monthly meeting (2nd Tuesday) for anyone considering wls or wants more info about the lap band.

My first impression was that he had a lot of respect for his patients. Also that he was very kind. Then he proved that he is a very skilled and thorough surgeon. My opinion of Dr. Marley is one of deeper respect and appreciation for his skill, he is about the most approachable Doctor our family has had and we feel very comfortable talking to him about any of our concerns. His office staff are also outstanding and go out of their way to be as helpful as ever. We feel their concern is quite genuine. Haven't found the\"like least\" part yet.rnThat he is extremely confident in the bariatric surgery as a wonderful tool and his entusiasm is contagious. Aftercare is the hallmark that drew me to his program. He guides you through the whole process from instructional seminars to the surgery and beyond. Windber Surgery Center has the bariatric coordinator, the dietician, physiologist and pschologist as well as the support group that addresses concerns and problems as well as successes and triumphs and just a real close community. I have had to deal alot with different Drs over the years and I would rate Dr. Marley one of the best. He rates well on all avenues. He explains everything really well, he supports your efforts and he is a highly skilled DR.

My first impression of Dr. Marley was favorable. He has an excellent bedside manner. He is courteous and professional. He was very attentive during my hospital stay. I probably saw him about 5 times in 24 hours. I was also impressed that he personally presents an informative lap band session for those who are intersted in the surgery, and attends the support group meetings as well. I have not been through much follow up with him yet as I am only 1 week post op.

Dr. Long and Dr. Marley were wonderful. Had most of my follow up visits with Dr. Long who was very informative. Dr. Marley was 'no-frills-straight-to-the-point'. They made me feel like a human being before, during and after. Can never thank them enough for their excellent work and giving me a second chance.

Dr. Marley is absolutely wonderful! Never once did he make me feel like I was abnormal, or that being obese was some stigma I should be ashamed of. He was caring, had a great bedside manner, and I felt totally at ease and in full comfort with him.

I really liked the fact that he was extremely accessible and that any time I had a question I could reach him by phone or via e-mail and that he would always respond, and promptly too!

For years I avoided doctors because they always treated me like I got what I deserved, but Dr. Marley made me feel human, and instead of criticizing me he helped me take the steps to heal myself.

I really can honestly say that I have nothing negative to say about him.

I must admit that my first time I met Dr Marley, I was very nervous. I hadn't done allot of the reserch on the WLS before I made my interview appointment so I didn't have allot of preconcived ideas of what I was getting into. Dr Marley put my fears at ease and provided guidance and direction that I needed to continue my quest for the WLS. His clinic staff were VERY HELPFUL and kind to me. I weighed 308 pounds and was 6'1" tall and although I felt fine, they assured me that my BMI registered me at Morbidly Obese. Not a nice label that I refussed to wear until that interview. Dr Marley assured me that the WLS was done under the safest conditions and the highest standards for this type of surgery. He approved me for the Lapiscopic surgery and I was glad. My target weight was set at 165-185 pounds.

I was scheduled for the WLS on March 10, 04 and have lost 88 pounds to date, November 8, 04.

Dr Marley's bedside manner was excellent.
