Larry Foster Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

My initial impression of Dr. Foster was really quite good. He's personable, and seems very knowledgable about his practice. He's been in this for several decades, and has refined some techniques to help prevent common post-op problems.
However, as soon as my (then) insurance company denied coverage, he dropped me like a hot coal. He doesn't do medicaid cases, and won't take payments.
I ended up feeling like he was once a very caring man, but is becoming hardened over the years. I feel that his main interest is in the money; not for his patient's care; I guess he has enough income to feel no compunction for middle-class, voluptuous people without insurance coverage.
I would have loved to have had Dr. Foster be my surgeon. I felt like I couldv'e trusted him. I'm sure anyone with money or insurance would have a great experience with him.
But c'mon, Doc! At least be willing to take payments! We're not all rich out here, you know.

Dr. Foster was very professional, straight forward and encouraging on first impression. He doesn't pull any punches but that is the best way in my opinion.
I am very pleased with my surgery and recovery and the support from Dr. Foster and his staff.
Future patients should feel comfortable meeting with him and know that he will be honest with you.
He is straight forward about the risks of embolism, peritinitis and other risks of surgery.
