Dr. Savoie has been very helpful; though there were a few hiccups along the way - you may email me privately if you are interested (nothing too terribly dramatic).

My results have been great (maybe not typical) - I have lost 160 pounds, bringing me to a healthy weight. It has not been easy, and there are days I want to rip this thing out of me (weeks, sometimes)...and I'm not sure what the future holds, but it has done what it is supposed to do. Just please remember that it is different for everyone, and it's not all unicorns and rainbows after the surgery. Sometimes you're trading one set of problems/issues for another.

The staff in Bathurst are AMAZING. They are very helpful and genuinely interested in your after care. They will see you at a moment's notice if you are having any issues...it's just too bad that fills need to be done there, and that there is no one closer to where I live...Bathurst is a 6 hour round trip!!

I would have liked to have seen more interest in counselling - we all put the weight on for our own reasons and it would be nice to have some sort of post-counselling care to discuss ways we can deflect our need to self-soothe with food. I did this on my own, and it was the second best thing I ever did for myself (the first was find a way to get the weight off). Counselling helps the individual cope without reaching for the foods that will put the weight back on (and don't fool yourself, you can put it all back on after you've taken it all off!!!).

Everything went excellent. I felt confident and informed going into it. I was pleased with the care after and the ease of transitioning to my new lifestyle and I was given realistic expectations of what was In store. Dr. Savoie and his team did am excellent job for me! Very pleased with him and his work!

I guess this is supposed to be my anniversary , celebrating my "weight " loss . That is the exact opposite of what I am celebrating .
When I had my lapband put in , I was to be in & out of hospital the next day...Dr. Savoie keep me in for 3 days. When I got home I was so sick I could barely get out of the car. I survived for a week , taking trips to the ER and the city in ambulances . I think 3 times & sent home . Finally I got a heath provider that told the others that I was SEPTIC. Please look it up if you don't know what it is . The survival rate is 40-50% as all of your organs shut down . I was taken in ER surgery ...about 5 hours , the surgeon took out the lapband ....I had 6 liters of pus suckeoned out . It seems that Dr Savoie nicked my viscous ,lining of the stomach and infection set in .
To make a long story a bit shorter , I spent 3 months in the hospital , 3 months on homecare . I now weigh as much as I ever did . So my dream was not a dream it became a nightmare. Be careful, take how you feel in consideration at all times. Have better luck that I did.

Cute,Shy,Wise,Easy to speak too,Understanding,Making sure if we ask all question we need to know, Calm and simply being a nice specialist.Secretary was nice,Patient & Easy to speak too.He`ll make sure that if we are really ready for the surgery, if we are prepared for that day.He make sure we understand the risks of surgery & if that what we really want.I would rate him a 10.I think he`ll be doing great.I can`t wait for this day .
