I really liked him, he was straight forward and to the point. My opinion has not changed, I am completely comfortable with him and his staff is wonderful. He emphasizes that this is a crutch to lose the weight, he makes sure you understand that it is a change to your life. I am completely satisfied.

Alright geesh I feel like I have to change things constantly on this page lately. Let me tell you about this office in VA Beach. They are the BOMB! I already love them and I havent been there yet. His staff has taken the time to explain all about my insurance and each step that is needed to be taken. It was great. I have setup my initial appt 3/17. I cant wait for it to arrive, and I'm sure it will be sooner than I think! I finally feel like things are starting to fall into place. I talked to surgeon coordinator for the military and looks like they are moving slower than snails, so I am praying that a non-availability happens quickly. :) I'll keep up posted.

Dr O'Grady was very professional and was straight forward with all of the possible side effect's. He stressed that this is a major surgery and should not be taken lightly. I would recommend him to anyone that want's this surgery. In the hospital he was wonderful and had the best bedside manner!!

I met with Dr. O'Grady for the first time on January 16, 2002. I really like him a lot. He did my best friend's surgery who has had excellent results.

He definately did not try to talk me into the surgery and made me fully aware of the risks.

My meetings with him have been pretty brief so far. Tomorrow (4/15) I go for my pre-surgical visit and labs.

He has a support group that meets every first Tuesday of the month run by a nutritionist. I've been going since December 2001 to become more familiar with the pre and post surgical events.

All of Dr. O'Grady's patients LOVE him and think he is the most wonderful doctor. (He resembles a bit and even sounds a bit like Liam Neeson - which has NOTHING to do with my decision on having him do my surgery).

My PCP, Dr. Fenderson, highly recommends him, who by the way, was VERY supportive when I told him what I was considering and set up an appointment with him right away.

Dr. O'Grady's staff is great! They are so very nice, helpful and great at their jobs. My insurance approval came back the same day.

I spoke with my PCP who (surprisingly) thinks this is a tremendous idea. He's very pleased with my desire to get some real help. I have my first appointment with Dr. O'Grady on November 10. I can't wait!!!

11/27/00 I had to change my consultation date since my current insurance will not cover the surgery date. My new appointment is January 22.
I have been working with Sharon who handles the insurance matters for Drs O'Grady, Clark, and Dalton. I have to tell you - She is THE BEST!!!!! She has been so encouraging, but I haven't, for one second, felt that she was trying to *push* me or my insurance through just to get me to have the surgery. She is genuinely interested in helping you. She is so sweet and prompt with getting you the answers. I can't wait to meet her. Everyone else I've spoken to has been very nice, also.

I finally met with the surgeon and feel he is very honest and I definitely trust him to do the surgery.
