Matt Bosquez Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

It was luck of the draw that my husband and I both had Dr B for our initial work-up, but we have had such a GREAT experience with him and his office staff, that we whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone who asks us about the surgery..He and his staff truly care about their patients, not just stats, we're real people with real feelings..Dr B is a good Christian and is not afraid to let his convictions show..He is very supportive, both he and Joy, and have been tremendous in the aftercare support..If I had to rate him, he would be off the charts, 10+..He takes the time and effort with everyone..

My first impression of Dr. Bosquez was that he seems to be very personable and a "people person". He was interactive in helping to explain and decide on which procedure to have instead of just telling me what he thought I should do, we discussed the options and concerns and came to an informed conclusion. One of the things that impressed me with him was there were two people that I met that choose Dr. Bosquez after he had performed surgery on their spouse.

The office staff is wonderful - the one I usually deal with is Karen, she takes the time to answer all of my "last questions" (each time I call I say "I think this will be my last question - and end up thinking of something else).

Dr Bosquez was very friendly, but very busy. Overtime I was very glad that I chose him. His office staff was very polite and helpful, also they were very patient in answering any questions that I had. Honestly there is nothing that I don't like about Dr. B. Furture patients should know that is his a very caring Dr. he explains everything, answers all of you questions and is very patient. He strongly empazies aftercare, you have frequent visits to his office for checkups. He gives you a guideline before you leave the hosptial for you to follow/ Hi addressed the risk of surgery at the first meeting that you have with him. I would give him a 100%. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are excellent. The only thing is there need to be more couseling on the diet. Being able to understand it more.

Dr. Matt Bosquez, from Tulsa, Ok. has been very trustworthy, empathatic, and supportive of his patients. Also, he meets with post surgical patients weekly for questions and answers and for a walk with them. He is active in the local support group. Also, his office staff is the very best available...3 or which are post bariatric surgery patients...and they sincerely encourage patients to call their office for any questions or just for some support. I have been very satisified with my personal journey with Dr. Bosquez and his office staff. I would highly recommend the hospital staff at SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa, where Doctor does his surgeries...they are a new hospital with a well organized pre, surgical, and post surgical care. I received excellent care while in their Bariatric Unit.

I just met Dr. Bosquez and his wife Joy at a support group meeting. Dr. Bosquez was very personable. First impressions are a big thing with me .... You get one chance... He made a great impression on me. He gets my vote. His office staff seem very kind. I have spoken with his nurse Karen several times and she has been very kind and never seemed to be in a rush to get me off of the phone.

I had my first consult with dr bosquez yesterday. He was wonderful. I felt very comfortable with him and his soft spoken manner is very calming..... He answered all of my questions very honestly and for that I was very appreciative.

I liked Dr.B the very first time that I met him. He was kind and caring. He has never one time ever made me feel like he was in a hurry. He explained everything very thoroughly including the risks.
He makes sure that you have all of the necessary medical tests before surgery. He does everything that he can do to be sure that you do not have any complications.
He came to see me twice a day when I was in the hospital. He always makes sure that any questions are answered.
His office staff is just as caring as he is. They are a wonderful group of people.

My first impression of Dr. Bosquez was very good. My first appointment he had a group session then talked with each of us seperately. His office staff is very helpful and seems to actually care about their patients. I would recommend Dr. Bosquez to any one that is considering this surgery. He even walks every saturday morning with his clients in the local mall. He is very patient oriented and has a beside manner that I know can not be surpassed. Well from the very first time I met Dr B and Dr G my impression was best of Dr B. I looked up his creditials and was very impressed. His personality is A+. I have now moved back to Texas but whenever Im asked I still tell people that Dr.Bosquez in Tulsa is simply the best. I was scared due to this being my first surgery ever in my life other than 1 c-section no comparison btw. Anyway I really feel blessed Dr Bosquez was brought into my path. Im 13 mos post op now and though I have ups and downs daily. From 254 to 133. I hear of alot of local folks telling me of a few very recent deaths here due to malnutition. I worry about this but again I feel I have the best source and the best surgeon just at the end of my phone. Anyway I cant give him a rating for me personally he surpasses any rating scale he blows it off the charts with his kindness and expertice. No chart could measure up to him.

My husband and I attended a consultation about WLS on 7/30/03. Dr. B seemed to be very personable and sincerely concerned about the dilema of the morbidly obese. We learned that Dr. B has a "walk with the doc" EVERY Saturday at the mall and actually takes the time to walk with his patients! He also takes this time to get better acquainted with his post-ops and how they are doing. I was very impressed that a busy surgeon would actually involve himself in the lives of his patients "after the fact" and after he has already earned his money! He was very straightforward on the risks and benefits of this surgery. I am pre-op for another day and a half. I'll let you know later if my opinion of Dr. Bosquez has changed any.

I really like Dr. Bosquez. I wasn't too crazy about the $250 consultation fee though. And even less crazy that they submitted the bill to the insurance company even though they knew they wouldn't pay it because they "don't cover weight loss" until I can show 6 months of doctor assisted effort. They haven't submitted my wife's bill yet for that very reason. They staff has been very friendly and helpful. They've answered all my questions.
