I just loved Dr Bosquez from the first time I met him--he was so possitive he could help. AND he DID!! I did so well after surgery and lost 130 lbs which I am sad to say I have put some back on in the 4 years since my surgery. I wish Dr B was still around close to keep helping people and making their lives better. Dr. B's really the greatest

I dont even think this surgeon is doing the surgery any more, and to be honest... Im glad about that. No follow up, no returned phone calls. I saw him the morning after the surgery and every appointment after that I met with his assistant or nurses. I called on average once a week the first few months after surgery and never even heard back from a nurse. I had a bad experience with this surgeon because of it and feel really abandoned, which is why im here doing research and asking questions.

Dr. Bosquez was wonderful in every way. I can't imagine a surgeon with more knowledge, or more sensitivity with his patients. I consider myself to be very blessed to have found him.

Well, I don't have a lot to add that hasn't already been discussed in this web site. Dr. Bosquez is a very knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated surgeon. I was very impressed with his presentation. He was informative in his presentation to the group and answered all questions without difficulty. He stressed that WLS is a tool that he provides that enables the morbidly obese patient to take credit and responsibility for their weight loss. I thought that was profound. A clever person could learn to work their way around the gastric bypass if they wanted to. A dedicated person will lose weight.

Dr. Matt Bosquez is the most wonderful doctor in the world. I am sorry to see his practice end. He will always have a very special place in my heart.

My first impression of Dr. Bosquez was he seemed genuinely concerned with the welfare of his patients. His seminar was informative and clear in language I could understand. His staff is great, everytime I call or see them they have been just wonderful, they also answer all your questions with out puttin you off! So far I have nothing bad to say about the dr or his staff, let's get through the surgery and I will have to let you know. I would however like to visit with the Dr. in person 1 more time before surgery but he does give you a phone call. I really checked him out and was impressed by all the positive remarks, surgery boards and reputation of Dr. Bosquez. He has a lot of structured aftercare from my understanding, he even walks with his patients on Saturdays @ the mall. They also have a clothes swap so you don't go broke trying to keep up with your weight loss, along with support groups and all. To me a doctor needs to be good all around. I am a little concerned about having to make the appointment with the anestesiologist but I'll get through that also. The dr should be competent with a great bedside manner especially considering the pain you go through with any surgery, So far Dr. Bosquez is rating like Ivory soap- 99.9% pure!

After surgery, I still have nothing but good to say about Dr. Bosquez other than I'm totally bummed he won't be doing this surgery any more! I was grateful for his surgical skill and in the surgery room there was all kinds of inspirational saying on his dry erase board and it was nice to go under with those thoughts in my head!

Dr. Bosquez did his own presentation @ his orientation meeting. I was impressed by this & the fact that he seemed very compassionate.


Office staff seemed very helpful @ first. Became a little less so over time but overall good. They helped me get approved the first time around.

Dr. Bosquez was very upfrom about the risks of surgery & stressed that this was not the option for people unless they were very serious & took all the negatives into account.

So far, I would rate Dr. Bosquez as good. I've heard that he has a much better bedside manner than another popular doc in our area.

My first impression of Dr. Bosquez is a wonderful one. He is very friendly and open. He didn't mind discussing the downsides as well as the upsides to WLS.

Dr. Bosquez is very efficient, personable, kind and caring about his patients. He is not interested in how many procedures he can do in one week. His office staff includes his wife Joy, and others who have also had WLS. He once told me that he performs WLS because as a doctor, he wants to affect as much change as possible in the lives of his patients. WLS yields dramatic positive results in the lives of obese patients in many different areas including the extinction of several life threatening conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, etc... and has the added benefit of improving one's self image, therefore affecting great changes emotionally. He is very thorough, getting to know each of his patients individually and continuing to be involved in their aftercare via monthly support group meetings and weekly "Walks with the Doc" every Sat morning at Woodland Hills Mall. He is meticulous about details when it comes to WLS procedure, which was number one on my list. It is often those little details that make the difference in success or failure. For the rest of our lives we have to live with what he does in that period of time he is operating and I appreciate his concern for the details.

I met Dr. B. in November and he (and his staff) where very informative. They realy care about their paitents. Each and every question has an answer. Even questions asked a couple of months later. The office staff has been very helpful, they delt with my insurance and had every thing arranged for me. They are easy to talk to and if you have concerns you just tell them.
I went out of state to find Dr.B. and it was the best thing I have ever done.
Surgery is Febuary 3rd, on my birthday. Wow!!! What a wonderful bierthday gift.
I can only say good things about Dr.B. and his staff.
