Had my first consult-what an amazing doctor. He is a true professional and treats his patients with the utmost respect. I found the session to be very informative and I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to have him on my 'team' ;) Just waiting for insurance approval and the go ahead for surgery.
My first impression of Dr. Christou was that he is a very kind hearted man. I was very nervous while waiting for his appointment but as soon as I met him he helped me quickly feel at ease.
I was very impressed with his many degrees posted in his office and of his intelligence.
I have full confidence in his ability.
My initial impressions were good. Dr Christou reminded me of an old fashion country doctor sort of older, kindly and wise. Experience and knowledge just oozed from him. I felt quite comfortable and confident in with his ablity. He took the time to answer my questions and in fact encouraged them. I am now more at ease at the thought of surgery with Dr Christou in the lead. I will up date after surgery when I will be able to make a more rounded assessment.
I met with Dr. Christou on November 25/2002 and found him to be a very caring man. He answered a lot of my questions and reassured me about the surgery. I have only heard great things about Dr. Christou and I am not worried at all.
I finally met him on November 18th, 2002 and I was very impressed. He's very caring and really cares about your situation. He was very thorough and answered all my questions before I even asked them! He made me feel good about the surgery and confident that he really knows what he's doing. He covered all the details regarding the pro's and con's. Mary his receptionist was so warm and friendly and she was a real treat to meet. She also made me feel very important and not just another patient! Aftercare was discussed and I felt very important to them. Risks were definetley covered and I'd give them an overall rating of 9 out of 10. I would refer Dr. Christou to anyone considering this surgery.
I am still waiting to meet Dr. Christou. I have read all the comments by other patients that have posted and feel confident about him so far. I have been waiting a very long time to have the opportunity for an appointment with him. Hopefully soon!!
He was very well informed. Very reassuring and friendly. Dr Christou is a top notch surgeon who cares about advancing his techniques. All the risks were well explained, and he was open to any and all questions. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) he gets a 9 from me. I wasn't informed what code I would be for the surgery. Office staff...his secretary was very kind even though she is overly busy. I forgot most of the questions I wanted to ask..oops.

Dr Picard Marceau was realy kind, it took about 1 month to get an appointement, i met him at the hospital he took time to explain the surgery he performs (billopancreatic diversion)

DR marceau have an HUGE waiting list that can run up to 4 years of waiting... and more i have choose to take this waiting list and to meet another surgeon. i rate DR marceau 10/10 and same for the other surgeon i saw, DR Pierre Y Garneau who do the same surgery but with a resonable waiting list of about 2 years

Next step is Dr Nicolas V Christou who perform Isolated by-pass i wanted to meet more than one surgeon to be sure to choose the good WLS for me ! I think for now that i will choose dr christou. After reading alot on both type of WLS i am almost ready to make the choice

Christou is a wonderfull surgeon who takes his time with his patient. i was very lucky to see him and i want to thank a very special freind who have permit me to see this surgeon. without you my dear freind i would not be on this waiting list i love you deeply !
