Great doctor.

Simply amazing. Dr. Enochs made me feel safe, which in my estimation was the most important feeling I needed prior to being wheeled into that OR room. He is incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer every one of my questions, and he did it while smiling his big, infectious smile. He comes across as calm, assured, professional, caring and very competent. His staff mirrors his attitude of competency and kindness. He does run behind much of the time, but this doesn't bother me because when I know it's my turn, I will get his full attention for as long as I need it. I consider myself lucky and blessed to have chosen Dr. Enochs for my surgery, and would not hesitate to refer anyone to his practice. I am indebted.

I had my RNY procedure on 10/18/09 with Dr. Enochs, and my gallbladder removed in May 2011. Both surgical experiences with Dr. Enochs were wonderful. The first thing that I remember both times was opening my eyes to see his smiling face in the recovery room. His staff are very helpful, and I think the only issue I have had is the long office wait. With that said, however, I is offset with the individual time Dr. Enochs spends with each of his patients. He answers any questions with ease and knowledge, and is very willing to confer with concerned family members in order to assist in helping to make well informed, life-changing decisions. I would recommend him any day of the week!

Upon meeting Dr. Enochs, I was quite impressed with his knowledge and caring demeanor. I had a list of questions and he took as much time as was needed to answer all of them. I know that he is the right person to perform my surgery.

However, his office staff leaves very little to be desired. My experience thus far has been very frustrating. Calls are not returned. Emails are returned, but questions about the status of my case are either answered very vaguely or not at all. I have repeatedly asked if records have been received and the typical answer is "let me check on that and I will get back with you when I receive them..."

If I didn't like Dr. Enochs so much and feel that he is the right surgeon for me, I would have already gone somewhere else.

Be prepared for a frustrating journey with his office, and contact them frequently. I will post again once I have had the surgery.

I could not have chosen a better practice to trust my body to for RNY gastic bypass! Dr. Enochs was kind and personable with a great professional and bedside manner. His calm and caring manner was evident from our first meeting. His credentials are noteworthy. He has a great support staff. I began the process on July 21, 2011 and had my surgery on September 23, 2011. The prerequisites were all handled efficiently. Communication via email was great! Now, at 14 months after surgery, I would still rate Bariatric Specialists of NC top knotch, definitely well above the average bariatric surgical practice.

Dr Enochs is amazing. He is very thorough and his attention that he gives to you when you are meeting with him is phenomenal. I had a revision to a previous WLS with a different surgeon who was also good. Dr. Enochs made sure I was aware of all of the pros and cons. I had my surgery on 07/09 and he or one of his colleauges would see me daily and I was always kept up to date on my progress. I could not ask for a better staff or Dr. I know why he and his team came so highly reccommended by my friends and family. He is great!

I did a lot of research about gastric bypass and surgeons before I decided to go this route. It took me 18 months to decide. The reviews of Dr. Enochs were very good and his reputation in this area is impeccable. I thought he was the surgeon I wanted, but when I met him at my first appointment, I was certain. He was very informative about the procedure and the associated risks and answered most of my questions before I could ask them. He was very thorough in the testing required before the procedure, but his office provided no feedback or follow-up when they hadn't received results from some of my tests or evaluations so be prepared to do your own follow-up. When it was time to schedule my surgery, Dr. Enochs took time to answer all of my husband's questions about the risks even though he had already done that for me. I had complications after surgery and Dr. Enochs and his PA, Brett, were very compassionate and shared all information about my condition with my family. They never made my family feel they were in a hurry to leave my room. They answered every question in detail.
Before surgery, I had a difficult time getting through to talk to people in the office. Messages would sometimes take 24 hours to be returned. However, after surgery, I never had to leave a message except after office hours. Those calls were returned by a PA within 15 minutes.
If I had to do this again, I wouldn't think of going to anyone but Dr. Enochs and I would definitely recommend him to my family, friends and others.

I am exploring options for WLS and am seriously considering Dr. Enochs. There is certainly no question about his skill and competence but I need to feel comfortable with the staff as well, since they are the ones I will call with questions/concerns. Jaime is my patient care coordinator and has bent over backwards to be helpful and accommodating. Yesterday, I went to the wrong office for my appointment and to make it easier on me, she stopped what she was doing and came to me rather than having me go to her. She also didn’t make sure that I knew "I was the one who messed up"….in fact, I didn’t even realize it until I got home and read her email that gave me specific directions where to go, not just the address of the building but down to which elevator to take! She has made sure that I know all of my options, including costs, so there will be no surprises while reminding me the steps to take to speed up the process, I also have felt no pressure to make a decision. Although I may end up going closer to home for the surgery (200 miles round-trip is tough after a long day at work), I would not hesitate to use this practice for any type of surgery if I lived closer to the Raleigh area!

Dr Enochs is top notch. Even during the 1st visit he made me feel like I was his only patient. He came in the exam room took the chair and sat in front of the door where nobody could come in and sat down and explained everything. Every visit I had with him made me feel I had made the right choice as far as who was going to do my surgery. Dr. Enochs is a great doctor who seems to actully cares about each patient. I would also like to think of him as great friend of mine who help changed my life. The only reason he did not get 10 stars from me is because there were only five to choose from. Also his office staff was very helpful and speedy about call backs when I had questions.

I am currently in the preliminary stages before having the RNY. I have to say that my first impressions of both Dr. Enochs and his office staff are very favorable! My caseworker, Megan, is very kind, and all the people I've dealt with in the office have been polite, friendly, and respectful. Dr. Enochs was very friendly from the beginning, and I know that I've chosen the right doctor for this life-changing surgery! If my opinions change through further interactions, I'll definitely update my review, but as things stand now, Dr. Paul Enochs and his office staff are true professionals, and I can't wait to have my surgery!
