Peter Courcy Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I am not please with Dr. Courcy. Dr. Courcy was very nice and informative initially; He gave me lots of information about the surgery and I was completely competent in his ability; however, I have had to have a revision because he did my surgery wrong. He did not complete my surgery correctly and I have had several complication over the last several years. I ended up having reconstructive surgery because Dr. Courcy complete my staple line all the way across. I am not pleased with his carelessness with me and I now question his surgical competence. These are my person experiences and in no way reflects how he might do your surgery. This is just my personal experience based my problems I have had and what the doctor who did the revision said. Dr Courcy and his staff was wonderful. I have never known such a wonderful group of proffessional to work with. They care about you and your well being. Dr Courcy really listen to you and answer all your question. What I like about him the most is that he dont suger coat anything. He give you a straight answer. He is very down to earth and if he dont know the answer to your question he will get on the phone and find it before you leave his office. I am so thankful for Dr Courcy and his staff. He really saved my life.

Dr Courcy is a very smart man. He is very straight forward and to the point. He really knows what he is doing. I have never been rushed through my appointment with him. I am 12 weeks postop and have not had any problems. I would recommend he to anyone. His aftercare is great.He is very compent at what he does. Both beside and competence are great. His staff are very nice.I would rate him a 10 in my book!!!

My first impression of Dr. Courcy....very straight forward kind of person, confident, caring and extremely competent. I liked him immediately, he was different from the other surgeons that I had met.When you meet him he will take you through the procedure and tell you what to expect. After the surgery you will follow-up with a structured aftercare program wich he highly emphasizes. His staff is very caring and nice and they try to keep you encouraged. I would rate him as one of the best in our area and I am extremely greatful that he is my doctor. If you are considering surgery I would highly recommend Dr.Peter Courcy as your surgeon. This is my true opinion I had my surgery on Aug. 21st.
