Dr. Henderson is wonderful. I was a patient of his when he was still practicing in Georgia. Although I had to have my band removed for an infection, he was very compassionate during the whole process. I have sinced moved away from Georgia (as did he) and now live in Alabama. I had my band replaced in 2010 by a different surgeon and have been successful with re-losing the weight. If you are looking for a wonderful physician please choose Dr. Henderson!!! You won't regret it.

Dr. Henderson and his staff are the best!!! Dr. Henderson has helped me take control of my life once again. I am a "special case", I traveled from another state to visit Dr. Henderson. He and his staff have always been very accommodating, and every visit has been stress free. An Oversatisfied Patient
I can't possibly list all the wonderful things about Dr. Henderson in this space. But, to begin with, he came through for me when Duke University refused to do my surgery.
After almost 3 months since my Lap-Band surgery, I've lost 48 pounds, feel wonderful, and most importantly, off so many of my previous medications for diabetes, hyperlipidemia, etc.
Without the dedication and professionalism of Dr. Henderson, I wouldn't be where I am today.
Dr. Henderson's expertise puts him at the very top of the list of surgeons who perform bariatric surgeries. His knowledge, experience, and compassion make Dr. H one of the best in his field/profession.

Dr.Henderson is a good choice, one of the best. My surgery was September 10, 2010 and it's been great. He answers all my questions and he has been very supportive. The surgery recovery time was short and the staff has been great. It has been a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to good results. So far I've lost 36 pounds and it has been truly wonderful.The only problem I've had has been the gas pain but I handled that with tylenol and it would help.
What was your first impression of him/her? He is to the point. He doesn't sugar coat anything.
How would you describe his/her office staff? They are the nicest people I've dealt with. I wouldn't trade them for anything. I love that they keep me updated and follow through on everything they say.
What should future patients know about him/her? If you are looking for a staff with your best interest, then they are the ones to deal with.
How much does he/she emphasize aftercare? They educate you constantly. They also prepare a kit for you to study and have as reference.
Does he/she have a structured aftercare program? Yes
How did he/she address the risks of surgery? He went over it a few times and mailed an information packet
Doctor henderson is a good doctor he takes his time to make sure you know everything good or bad about the surgery. i thank god for him everyday.
I have met with Dr Henderson for my original consult and found him to be very informative. He took the time to explain what he believed was best for me. The office staff were all wonderful, helpful, and insightful. My overall experience was very positive.
Dr. Henderson did my surgery in September of 2006 and I have never been happier. I love the entire staff of Georgia Coast Surgical and Dr. Henderson has been great throughout all of this. The pre and post surgery care and education is unbelievable. I couldn't have chosen a better place to have my surgery!
