Dr. Morand doesn't only do lap band surgery, so he's actually done my gall bladder surgery. He is a great guy! Both he and his partner, Dr. McKee are wonderful doctors and listeners, and the office staff is wonderful too!!

I feel very comfortable with Dr. Morand's skills as a surgeon, and would rate his bedside manner high.
I find dealing with the office staff at Augusta Surgical highly frustrating most of the time. Lab Band calls are only taken and returned at certain times, the nurse I needed to speak with was always busy, and so I had to rearrange my schedule to have the opportunity to speak with her in person.
Augusta Surgical makes every attempt to screen candidates for the band, and has regular support group, facilitated by a counselor, meeting both in the evening and the daytime. ASA stresses the necessity of using the band as a tool, and have a knowledgeable personal trainer who meets monthly with the support groups to show fitness techniques.
The process of getting fills was frustrating and slow at first, but has been streamlined now, and they can be done in a timely manner.

I am very concerned after reading some posted messages from other lap banders on this site about my after care. I have not been to a support group or been set up with one in the office. Maybe they will tell me about after care on my first visit coming this monday. Im very glad I found this site so I will know when I go to the office this monday what to ask about.
