Robert Wilcox Bariatric Surgeon M.D.
Dr. Wilcox is an excellent surgeon. I had RNY May 09, Tummy tuck May '10, and a pseudo bursa removal in June '!! all done by Dr. Wilcox. Dr. Wilcox really, really understands, and is sympathetic to morbid obesity. He understands that it is a huge decision, will inform you of all of your options, and is a sensational surgeon. Thanks to him, I went from 280 lbs to 130 lbs, and I am forever grateful to him!! Obesity is a shame based disease, and many docs think we are lazy, stupid, or have a complete lack of willpower. Wilcox was aware that we have a 98% chance of never losing the weight without surgery. He's excited to see the journey, really cares about the patient and sees the human element. Perfect. I am eternally grateful. I honestly believe he is doing God's work.
My surgeon was awesome and extremely professional. He answered every single one of my questions even though I know some of them were a bit petty!rnHe did wonderful work, and though I am only a few days out I think everything will be great. rnHe made me feel completely secure.rnrnI always hear horror stories about \"military hospitals\" but I have had nothing but good experiences at Evans Army Community Hospital.rnThe same with when I had my son, it was a great process.
i was very impressed with Dr Wilcox the first time i meet him, he was very truthful and up front about the surgery,i was very comfortable from the first time i meet him, and still am, he was GREAT!!!!!!his office staff was great, and very helpful, there was nothing i dislike about him.just be up front with him and ask as many questions about the surgery,he really is strict about the aftercare, and the liquid diet for 3 weeks.he went through the whole risk of the surgery, and what could happen.i would rate DrWilcox the highest you can give, he was the best and im so glad he was my surgeon, i would highly recommened Dr Wilcox if you are station at Ft Carson. his surgcial competence, bedside manner are both GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
