Dr. Thurman is a wonderful doctor and he has retired since doing my surgury back in August 2004.

Dr.Thurman and his office staff are among the nicest and most caring people that I have ever dealt with. They understand what it is like to be called morbidly obese and they do not treat you like you are any different from anyone else. His staff will call you when they need to know something and they will return your phone calls.
Dr. Thurman discusses the surgery thoroughly in the initial consultation and again when all your other medical visits are comepleted. He leaves out nothing!
Dr. Thurman requires visits to a cardiologist, pulmonary specialist, psychiatrist, and a GI doctor. You are checked out thoroughly.
I have been very pleased with the journey so far and on August 3 I will be able to look back on being fat and I anxiously await that.
