Ron Pearson, Jr. Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Pearson so far has been great! Very knowledgeable and very helpful. He answered all the questions I had and even told me that I could call him anytime if I had concerns or questions and he promised to get back to me. My impression of him has not changed at all! The staff in his office are all great especially Peggy!
He stresses wholeheartedly after care and follow up with him. He has it set up that I have to see him very often for one full year. That we will become to know each other well!
He addressed the risks in detail and so did the hospital staff (aneseology..not sure of that one).
So far I am rating Dr. Pearson a 10!
The most important issue a doctor should have is surgical competence but I rate bedside manner right up there in the top 10.
The only negative thing that I have found is that I was interested in lap proceedure and he does not do that. But at least he was honest enough to tell me why .
My first impression of Dr Pearson was that he was very nice & seemed to care. His nurse seemed pretty cool. She didn't talk much. Dr Pearson was very quick to stress the risks of this kind of surgery & that it should be thought through carefully as it is a big lifestyle change. He was very honest about only doing 4 surgeries since he has been in WV. He told me that he had much more experience while he was in Tennesee where he did his residency. He told me that the 4 people he has done since he has been here have done well & he even gave me the name & phone # of one of them, so I could talk with her. So far I would give him a 10 rating.
