My first impression of Dr. O'Connell was very professional, kind, sincere and cared about me very much. I was now not just a number but a real person with a real need. I went to my first group meeting over in New Orleans last week, and everyone at the meeting had all good things to say about him. But they are on your level where you can understand where they are coming from, There is not one thing I do not like about him. I heard from one of the fellow people that had the surgery that he was intensive care in Slidell, LA one real stormy day, and Dr. O'Connell went to visit him even so it didn't have nothing to do with the surgery. I know you covered for two years post surgery treatment. I am possibly having surgery around Thanksgiving 1999, God Bless and Good Luck!

Actually, my surgeon was Dr. Wagih Mando, but he was not listed on the drop-down list of surgeons. He does, however, perform the RNY procedure WITH Dr. O'Connell. So, I guess you can say I had 2 surgeons. Both of them are angels sent from heaven.

Dr. Ruary O\'Connell in New Orleans is doing my surgery in June \'99. I have seen him twice and am quite impressed with his knowledge and experience. I am feeling quite confident in my chose. Also, I have spoken with several post-ops who had him as their surgeon and recommend him highly.
