Sachin Kukreja Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Kureja and Florence in the office. I had a slip of the band and needed it repaired and or replaced. I posted here to look for someone to help and Dr. Kureja answered. I made an appointment with Florence to attend a meeting and everything fell into place. He was able to replace my band. Then HE personally called to check on me when I missed an appointment. When I did go in he yelled at me for missing and I thought it was nice that he cared. He listens and explains things so you can understand... Definately a great team. I can't thank them again!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Dr. Kukreja was very easy to talk to. He didn't use a lot of medical jargon. He explained the surgery procedure and what I should expect as it relates to risks and aftercare thoroughly. He answered all of my questions with patience and geniune kindness.The Dietitian Kelly gave a handout with all of the allowed foods and the amounts that was easy to follow. Florence the Bariatric RN was equally pleasant and knowledgable. If the staff isn't availalbe to answer questions you can leave a message and your call is returned within 24 hours. My hospital stay was great! I had a minimal amount of pain after surgery. If you are considering Lap Band Surgery Mount Sinai Hospital and Dr. Sachin Kukreja and his staff are OUTSTANDING!!!

When I first meet Dr. Kukreja, I liked him right away, I had finally found a Doctor that seemed generally intrested in me and my health problem. Over a period of time, after attending the lapband seminar and meeting Dr. Kukreja's staff, I knew I had made the best decision to have the lapband surgery. Dr. Kukreja and his staff took a personal interest in me and helping me with my weight loss. I always looked forward to my ofice visits. Every office visit was great, we never had rushed visits. He always listened and answered any questions that had, and made sure I had a good understanding. He is always patient, never in a hurry to leave you, to get to the next patient. Dr. Kukreja expalined the risks the surgery and I was comfortable and felt safe. The surgery was performed on August 31, 2011 and was successful. I stayed in the hospital ovenite and was discharged the following evening. The aftercare was awesome, the phones calls from the staff was very helpful and very much appreciated. They checked on me daily the week following my surgery, and took time out to really talk to me, and answer all my questions, nothing was ever rushed. My follow-up visits have all been great, I'm having no problems, and the weight is coming off!! I highly recommend him to future patients. I give Dr. Kukerja a 100% rating! His surgical competence and bedside manner are both great!!! I have no negative comments about Dr. Kukreja, I am so blessed to have meet him at a time that I needed him the most.

Thrilled! That's how I can describe myself now that I'm involved with this WLS Program. I attended Dr. Kukreja's seminar and am beginning my journey!

I can't thank Dr. Kukreja enough. He has given me the chance to "live life" again! I felt I was at a dead-end after struggling with my weight for years and not being able to find someone that accepted Public Aid (Medical Card). Dr. Kukreja welcomed me and treats me with the utmost respect. I'm in the Mt. Sinai program with him, and well on my way to being healthy. In a few short weeks, my Lapband will be placed.
