Shanthi Shakamuri Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

My first impression of Dr Shakamuri was very favorable. He and his nurse Sue and super people. He was very honest about the surgery and potential for complications. Sue--Sue is incredible.

Unfortunately I learned Dr Shakamuri is leaving the field to study another aspect of medicine for a while; this will be sometime in May--long enough to see me through the first month postop, after which I would be referred to Dr Bray. Dr Shakamuri told me this upfront when my date was scheduled and asked if I had a problem with it. I didn't.

I understand Dr Bray is good although I have not met him.

I will add to this after the surgery, which is in a few days.

I like my doctor. I really like his nurse Sue. She is awesome she is answering all my questions so i didnt have much to ask the doc. He is kind man. He made me very comfortable. He was smiling a lot more the pre op visit.

Dr. Shakamuri was wonderful to meet with. He will be assisted by my family doctor Dr. Bray will is very trusted in our family. Dr. Shakamuri was very honest and explained everything very well and was to the point. He told me about the pros and cons of wls and made sure I understood everything. From what I know right now his staff was very nice and helpful.
