Shawn Bryant Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Bryant is a straight shooter. He is up front and very honest. Everything he said came true as I progressed through this weight reduction journey.
I would highly recommend him and his after care is great.
The only negative thing I have to say is that my diet has been something I have regulated mostly on my own.
I will be celebrating my 2 year mark May 15th and I have been able to maintain my goal weight.

Dr Bryant is an awesome surgeon. He made me feel comfortable and proud of myself for deciding to take the step to have this surgery right from the beginning. His staff was also wonderful. They are all very enthusiastic about this surgery and the way it changes and helps peoples lives. I was comfortable right from the beginning, and have remained that way all the way through. Dr Bryant is young, but he is extremely knowledgeable, and was a fantastic surgeon. He was extremely thorough in making sure I knew all I could about this surgery and that it was right for me. He also educated me in what was going to happen, along with the aftercare , and with his nutritionist. He addressed all of the risks of this surgery and made sure I was prepared for the lifetime changes it would bring. He has wonderful surgical competence, bedside manner, and overall CARE and concern for his patients. The only thing I could say were areas in need of improvement.......is that Dr Bryant does not have a large group of people " in this area " where he has performed the surgery........so after care support groups are not yet formed.The hospital in Carlisle was not well prepared for my type of surgery, they didnt seem to truly understand the care that I needed during my hospital stay.( Which hopefully has improved as Dr Bryant has since then performed more of this surgery in this area ) Also, the followup care of the nutritionist has not been what I had hoped it would be.

Overall........I would not change the fact that I chose Dr Bryant as my surgeon......his staff and he are the best. They were enthusiastic, caring, knowledgeable, and always ready to help in any way possible to educate me and care for my needs. Dr Bryant brought this surgery to my area, and is establishing a stronger support for aftercare as it is possible. I saw three surgeons before I chose Dr Bryant......and I still am very happy that he was my choice. I am thrilled with my new life and happier health !
