I was very impressed with Dr. Partridge from the beggining. The office staff is totally awesome. The only thing that I dont like is that it seems abit hard to talk to someone on the phone when you call the office. However once you do get through they take care of any and all of your problems right away. Dr. Partridge is a very busy lady which is very understandable. She was my number one choice from day one. The program offered there before and after surgery is so thorough and extensive that the day of surgery I was left with no questions. She only came to see me for a few quick moments when I was in the room and I wish it would have been a little longer. However when she was there she checked my wounds and made sure I was comfortable. I really love Dr. Partridge and I would pick her again in a heartbeat. I would reccomend her to anyone who is considering this type of procedure. She is very nice, educated and friendly and she shows that she really cares about each and every patient.

My husband had the surgery first and I felt more comfortable having known someone go through the process. he had no real complications so this was the final issue to make me decide to have it done myself. The doctor and the staff are all fantastic. I am a little worried that with the popularity of the proceudre and this surgical group's reputation that it may take me a while to actually get my date. They have a great support group meeting structure that should help us with future issues. I would rate them as excellent overall.

I didn't make an appointment with the Dr until I had attended a few support group meetings. rnDr. Gazmuri and Dr. Partridge were available for questions on different nights and it was nice to see how compassionate both are for their patients well being and success with WLS. When I was completely sure this was the right thing for me I called and had an appointment with Dr. Partridge in a few weeks. rnMy husband came and met Dr. Partridge with me, he was comfortable asking her questions as was I. She is very personable and caring and we even laughed about a comment my husband made about leaving some of my \"cushion\" for him. We went over my health, diet, changes I could/should make prior to surgery, risks and after surgery followup committments. She spoke to both of us, not just me. She indicated to my husband this would be a significant change for him as well and he would be my primary support. I know we both left that day relieved of any anxiety we each had and now we were excited. rnDr. Partridge recognized me at the next support meeting and waved. And when I met with her the second time, without my husband, she brought in a NP (Tina) and was telling her about the day she met my husband. She even remembered that he likes to hike. I was convinced at this point that I really liked her and that she makes it a point to identify with her patients and stay connected. rnOn another note, the phsycologist, nurses and the nutritionist I have met along the way are also very caring. I've been back a few times for various appointments and they now know my name when they see me, such a comforting feeling. My surgery is scheduled for July 19, 2007.

I picked Dr. Patridge because she was a woman surgeon - she seemed a bit unfriendly at first, but she isn't - she's great. One word of caution - she is a BIG advocate of NO SMOKING!!! I quit before the surgery, which was required - but started afterwards again. This did not fare well with Dr. Partidge, and frankly, I can't blame her...rnrnDr. Partridge saved my life and I am completely grateful - now if I can only quit these butts, she will love me again... :)rn rn

I met Dr Partridge for the 1st time at a lecture/meeting at NWH. She was doing the New Patient Instructional meeting. I attended this lecture given by the other 2 surgeons in the practice as well. I had read about her in various places on the web. Some referred to her as 'distant'. That didn't phase me. As a nurse who has never had any kind of abdominal surgery but has cared for hundreds over the years, I was more interested in her expertise & experience. I listened to her instructional lecture. She was not distant with her audience--quite the contrary--she was warm & concerned that everyone have a chance to get their questions/concerns voiced. I called for an appointment & was told it would be with Dr Partridge. When I met her I found that she had read what her staff nurse, dietitian & social worker had noted so she already knew a lot about me but had several questions for me as well as wanting to know what questions & concerns I had. She took time & answered them all. I saw her again a month later--she expressed concern that I would not be able to do this (because I had gained weight) & was not happy with me. This threw me for a loop & scared me into seriously thinking about myself first & taught me that I had to think of myself before all else. I lost 15 lbs before surgery. Surgery went well & quick--a little over 2 hours. Dr Partridge said my liver was small due to the weight loss so surgery was easier. Her staff is dedicated & efficient. There is a strong & careful emphasis on preop preparation as well as aftercare in this practice. It is evidenced by the presence of the Doctors & staff at several monthly support meetings & the constant reminders to call with any concerns as the months go on. The preop & aftercare programs are highly structured. The risks of surgery were addressed as much as the benefits. I would rate her overall as a highly skilled surgeon who practices with a certain standard of excellence. Along with that she has a great bedside & office visit manner, friendly, concerned, careful, honest.

I met my surgeon a few years ago for something else, I had never given WLS a thought. My mom died, and it was even further from my mind, but in the mean time my diabtets got worse, i was in so much pain and I finally had the support of my husband. At that point I revisited my sugreon and was very impressed with her and her staff. Dr Partridge will take the time to answer any questions, she is a kind, caring and knowledgebale dr, and her staff, man what can I say about them. They ROCK!!!!!!!!! They are all wonderful!!!!! I know of other people who have had WLS preformed by Dr Partridge and they have been very happy with her, and the staff, and my own experience thus far has been great too!!!!!

My first impression of Dr. Partridge was great... she really seems like she does whats best for the patient. Her office staff are amazing, i call with any questions i have and they are so pleased to help you out. New patients should know that if u gain an ounce she'll postpone your surgery on you so beware. NWH has a very structured aftercare program with tons of meetings monthly. I think both surgical compentence and bedside manner both matter.... but i would rather have a great surgeon than a great personality cutting me open hahaha.
