Dr. Steve Webb, Bariatric Surgeon

Steve Webb, MD, FACS earned his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University and his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and residency through the Jacksonville Hospital Health Education Program in Florida. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

The Surgical Review Committee has designated Dr. Webb as a Center of Excellence Surgeon. Additionally, Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville where he practices has been named a Center of Excellence. In order to qualify for such a designation, the hospital and each surgeon must meet stringent quality standards and perform a minimum number of surgeries each year.

Weight Loss Surgery with Dr. Webb

Dr. Webb specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and da Vinci robotic surgery. He and his colleagues are the only surgeons in Northeast Florida and South Georgia using the da Vinci Robot. Using the robot allows for safer surgical care and quicker recovery times.

Dr. Webb performs the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG), DaVinci Robotic Laparoscopic Revision and Open Revision procedures, Roux-en-Y (RNY), Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch (DS), and Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding. He is also performing the LINX procedure, the LINX Reflux Management System is a surgical option for patients suffering from GERD.
