My first impression of Dr. Steve was very positive. He was highly recommended by several friends. He also had a great bedside manner and was very easy to talk to.

My impression of Dr. Steve has only grown fonder with each visit.

I have found that all of his staff have been very cheerful and quite helpful. Encouraging as well since three of his staff members have also undergone WLS.

The thing I like least about him would be the length of time that it takes to get back to see him. I think his office schedules multiple appointments at the same time and you have to wait forever.

Dr. Steve is more concerned with taking his time during the surgery than how many he can perform in one day.

He emphasizes exercise greatly and following your diet. Why go through the surgery if you are not going to follow the directions after.

He does have a structured aftercare program.

He provides each patient with an instructional booklet to explain the surgery and its risks then explains each risks as well.

I have been well pleased with Dr. Steve and have already referred several other people to him.

I find that both are great, it's like having your cake and eating it too (as long as it is sugar free! Ha. Ha.)

My first visit to Dr.Steve's office was July,26,2004. I have heard that he has not lost a single patient.(If anyone has heard different, please let me know) I have only heard good things about him & after I had my first visit, I can understand why!! He was very nice & very informative. He explained the steps of the surgery--GOOD & BAD-- things about it. He explained what I would have to do before & after the surgery & he explained that the surgery is a tool to help me lose weight & how important it is for me to learn to eat healthy & to get active. And he explained the risks of haveing the surgery & the risks of being obese. I have talked to other patients of his & they all speak very highly of him. I am alittle scared to have the surgery, but one thing that calms my fears is knowing that I will be in THE BEST OF HANDS- Dr. Steve's & most of all,GODS HANDS!! So Far, I would recomend Dr. Steve to anyone who is thinking about haveing the surgery;I will let you know more about my opinion of Dr. Steve, after the surgery. I would like to say that I think his office staff is GREAT!! Especially Margo. Thanks for answering all my questions, even the dumb ones! lol!!!

Dr Steven is a wonderful doctor. He listened to me and answered all my questions. The office staff are great also. They are always there when I call with something I need. Dr Steven also helps you get approved. I recieved my approval letter in 12 days from the date I was sumbitted.

Aftercare is very Important to him and his staff. He sent me to the dietitian to learn the right way to eat before and after the surgery.

They also encouraged me to attend the support group meeting they hold at the hospital.

I am so happy I found Dr Steven and his staff and I look forward to them helping me change my life forever.

My inpresion of doctor Isbell is great. He seemed to really care about you as a person and not only the money. His office staff is taking care of filing my insurance papers and i have full confidence in them.Dr.Isbell explained all of the aftercare that will be required. He also explained that there is always a risk when one has a major surgey but the chances of sucess with weight loss outweighed the risk.He also makes all the nessary appointments for you (dietian and blood work, ect).

My first impression of Dr. Isbell was very good. He was easy to talk to and was very professional. I can to regard him with even greater esteem after I had surgery. He was in the hospital several times a day checking on me and made sure I was well taken care of. His office staff is wonderful. There are four ladies in his office that have had the same surgery by him. They have all done very well in their own right. They are very sensitive to your feelings and needs. Nothing comes to mind in a negative way when thinking of his bedside manner. He is a compassionate and caring man. He emphsizes aftercare from the first appoinment. If you aren't willing to keep up with the aftercare then you don't need to consider surgery. He was point blank when he talked about the risks of surgery. He wanted to know that you were awear of the facts. Out of a score of 100 points, I would give Dr. Isbell 95 points, and that is only because we know there isn't anyone in this world that is perfect. Both his bedside manner and surgical competence is wonderful. I would highly recomment him to anyone thinking of having RNY surgery. My own personal experience with Dr. Isbell and his staff was a wonderful experience.

Nice, listened answered the few questions I did have. His nurse Lynn was wonderful. She answered all my questions and then some, every time I saw or called her.

No my impression is still the same.

His staff is nice but like all some are better than others.

He might be new to the WLS but he has been a surgon for over 20 years. And you have to stop smoking before he WILL perform the WLS.

ALOT! If you follow his orders and eat what he tells you to you shouldnt have any problems.I mean really who would fight to have this done and then throw it away by not following the doctors orders.

He told me all the risk involed.
He is a 10 over all.

My first impression of Dr Isbell was that he was a very nice, knowledable man. I think that I am really going to like him. Everyonein his office was pleasant. Dr Isbell stressed that diet and exercise was a big part of my surgery being sucessfull. I would have to give Dr Isbell a 9 on a rate of 10 scale, so far.
I now have had the surgery, and have gained a lot of respect for my doctor. I would recommend him in a heart beat. He is a great doctor. He will do all that is possible to get you through the surgery with no complications. In fact, I have heard that he hasn't had any patients with complications, and no patients to die. That made me feel a lot better. He takes his time during surgery and gets the job done right.

I GUESS YOU CAN SAY I'M VERY PARTIAL TO DR.
STEVE HE IS MY SURGEON, BUT HES ALSO MY BOSS.
I'M ONE OF FOUR IN OUR OFFICE THAT HAS HAD THIS SURGERY. I CAN ALSO SAY IT SAVED MY LIFE
IN 1984 I WAS DIAGNOSED AS AN INSULIN DEPENDENT DIABETIC. I HAVE BEEN VERY BLESSED
I HAVE HAD NO COMPLICATIONS FROM BEING A DIABETIC,UNTIL THREE MONTHS BEFORE I FINALLY MADE A DECISION TO TALK WITH DR. STEVE ABOUT THE SURGERY. WHEN YOU WAKE UP AND SOMEONE IS ASKING YOU FOR YOUR NAME YOU
KNOW THEN THIS IS ONE DIABETIC REACTION TO
MANY.

WHEN YOU ARE DR. STEVE'S PATIENT HE MAKES YOU
A PRIORITY, HE HEARS EVERY WORD THAT COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. HE ASK QUESTIONS, HE ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS. EVEN THE QUESTIONS THAT YOU THINK ARE SILLY.

HES THERE FOR EVERY INCH AND EVERY POUND THAT COME OFF,DR. STEVE GETS JUST AS PROUD
AND EXCITED AS WE DO.

I'M IN THE BACK OFFICE WITH GAYLE, JUST GIVE
ME A CALL IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.
