Sylvain Beausoleil Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Beausoleil is an excellent surgeon. All of the nurses, dieticians, and psychiatric staff who worked on my file at the Bariatric Clinic at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton NB are top notch. Several of them have become family friends. The program is top notch. There are no secrets or surprises. They told me exactly how it would be, and or how bad it could be. I did have some problems. I developed a leak 3 weeks after surgery. I received the best care I have ever had at a hospital, after 10 days of meds and bed rest, the leak healed and I was sent home. I am not sure exactly why, but 2 of the patients operated on July 30 developed problems. He may have been having an off day, but even on his off day, I have and would again trust this man with my life.

Dr B was great and so are his nurses both in clinic and office. he takes the time to go over things and explains it out. He provided me a tool to use and it is now up to me. Thank you Dr B for changing my life for the better and making me healthier. only downfall i had was the ICU and staff, maybe it was just me but it was very loud and unprofessional in my view and i got my self up and moving after surgery without assistance not that it was offered.

What a great man!!! I love him for the life he has given me and my family...surgery was quick and easy...NO pain afterwards at all...sip and walk..sip and walk...

I think he saved my life. I am doing so well after surgery, that I almost don't feel like I had surgery. I was scared going into it, and all the nurses and people assisting in surgery kept coming up to remind me that I had a great surgeon. They were all right. Thank you Dr. Beausoleil for this chance of change in life. I was home in 24hrs. No pain or soreness. The first 24hrs I did have some queasiness and some minor soreness, after that good to go. He gave me some pain meds to bring home, which weren't needed. I had good water intake and was able to swallow meds. No down side to this and no regrets.....Dr. B......A+

My first impression of Dr. B was "why would this little angel of a man want to help me loss weight?" He is very young, and I guess I expected someone much older, but when he told me I qualified and that he would like to help me regain my health and my life I knew he was for me. He passed no judgment, he just wanted to help. Now he'll get his chance on Dec. 8th!

Dr. B is very thorough and told me all the facts, risks and differences between surgery types. My fiance met Dr. B and was impressed with him as he was sympatetic to his questions as well as mine. I cannot say enough about Dr. B's team. They are very caring and to the point. They are really easy to listen to and talk to us on our level. I give them an A+ and I look forward to sharing this journey with them. I know I am in good hands for sure.

Dr B did a great job of banding me. He spoke to me before and after surgery BUT I don't remember the later. He answered all my questions and never rushed me in any way. I think it was so thoughtful that the last thing he said to me before surgery was to welcome me to my new life!

Dr Beausoliel is the sweetest most caring doctor I have met.He was very informative about what I should expect during and after the surgery.He listened to all my questions and took time to address any and all my concerns.I respect his honesty and professionalism.

I'm an ER nurse with 25yrs+ full time work experience. So I have met a LOT of physicians during my career. I have high expectations- and I was not disappointed. From our first meeting to our last meeting the day after my surgery- Dr. Beausoleil showed me nothing but respect, caring, professionalism and competence. I trust him and admire his skill and ability to help people. He is specific and exacting in what he does, and in what he expects from his patients. He does things his way- and expects his patients to do things his way-and it is for the best outcome. I would never have had surgery done if I had ANY doubts at all about my surgeons capabilities. I went under general anaesthetic knowing that Dr. B. and his team would take the BEST care of me. And they did. Simple as that. Now- it's up to me. And I'll do my very best not to disappoint Dr. B. and his team. They are THE BEST!

My first impression of DR. Beausoleil (Beautiful Sunshine in English) was Wow! he is young.He is so patient---thoroughly laid out the risks and benefits.Even though he is busy he answered all my questions,and listened and was very respectful of the research I had done.To be truthful the wait is sometimes long,but they warn us and I use it as an opportunity to read!! He is very caring and sincere.I am confident in his abilities.rnLise the bariatric nurse is wonderful----straight forward but has loads of compassion.rnThe dietician is Rinette---very respectful and a born encourager.rnThe psycholigist----Joline, I saw for a few months was very helpful too---had a few aha moments.rnNatalie,is the receptionist and deals with all of our calls day after day after day with compassion and tireless grace.rnI am so very thankful for their time and efforts!
