When I met Dr. Fullum I really liked his personality. He told me he could help me with my revision and that got me excited. However sad to say it never happended. The clinical person was very unorganized. First she could not find my paper work, then she said she would call me and after I week of not hearing from her I had to call back. She scheduled me to have a test done and when I got there for my appoitment she had not gotten approval for my test from my insurance so I had to sit for 2 hrs to wait for her to do this, after the 2nd hour I still had not had the test so I just left and never reschedueld to return to that office again.

I was referred to Dr. Fullum (Howard University Hospital)by a co-worker who had the surgery performed a couple of years ago at Providence Hospital. I am having a revision on June 10, 2010. Dr. Fullum is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He is upfront with everything you need to do in order to have a successful surgery. The amount of information you receive on your first visit is amazing you have everything you need to know from beginning to end. He is definitely an expert in his profession. The staff are superb they and this is what makes the practice a successful one. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Revision surgery 1/19/10 with Dr. Terrence Fullum. OMG - What a doctor. Fabulous bedside manner. Patient. Takes time to answer questions. Office staff and support are AWESOME. Has the most comprehensive program. I wish my initial surgery had been here but since it wasn't I am so happy that my revision was here!rnrn----rnrnrn2002 - My initial Surgery was with Dr. William Roe is very sincere and I am pleased that I found him! Dawn took care of my insurance and had me approved in ONE day. I think they will be getting busier as word gets around and waiting time for appointments and surgery dates will get longer - but it is worth it.

I met with Dr Brody back in April. He was REALLY nice and straight to the point. His staff was extremely helpful especially carlita. Unfortunately, I wasnt approved due to it not being a \"specific condition caused by a specific disease\" whatever that means so I requested a peer-to-peer. Im awaiting the results of that now. My HR person said to see if Dr. Brody can word it differently cause my job and my insurance DO cover it so Im in waiting mode at the moment. If denied again, which I have been 3 times now the other 2 were with carefirst, now Im with NCPPO, then I will try another Dr. Well, I moved to Dr. Fullum, and once again a denial due to it being an exclusion unless the obesity is caused by another disease NOT for weight loss. So SIGH Ive given up for the most part. rnrnrnUPDATE!!!! rnGot new insurance and already spoke with them and they cover the surgery!!! They also cover revisions and plastic surgery 18 months down the line. I go to Dr. Fullum tuesday to get my package together to give to the insurance people for approval. Wish me luck.rnrnUPDATE!!!rnFINALLY got things together. Im in the process of my 6month prestuff. Im already in my 4th month. Looking to have it either late march or late april. My insurance requires the 6month prestuff so Im well on my way

My first impression of Dr. Fullum was he is a very attractive man. Although he is attractive his knowledge of WLS and his easy going nature are outstanding. He is very patient. I have visited other WLS offices and they talk at you not to you. His office staff is on point. That Christine Bauer is no joke. She is so straight forward and thats what I need. She puts it out there just as it is. I will update more after my new birthday-7/8/08.

03/01/05 Well, I changed my surgeon again. I am seeing Dr. Roy Smoot for a second opinion. The appt. is 4/20/05 and I was told it would be a 3 1/2 hour appt. Different from the 20 minute visit with Dr. Magnuson, who was great, but I think a little too backed up as it has been months and I have not heard anything from them. Another factor for me was that Dr. Smoot does the procedure laproscopic and Magnuson only did it open. As a single parent, recovery time makes a huge difference for me. We'll see how this goes.rnrnrnrn4/20/2005 - Dr. Smoot and the team there was awesome. I am attending their support group meetings while I complete the insurance co. requirements for submitting the Request.rnrnrnrn12/16/2005 OMG - I was approved!!! Well, Dr. Smoot's office, the entire team has been wonderful, they are exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Smoot is retiring, but the surgeon who assisted Dr. Smoot is taking over the practice everyone has confidence in him. I am so happy to have DR. FULLUM perform my surgery on January 24, 2006 (Due to a scheduling conflict, I am happy to have Dr. Fullum perform surgery on 2/17/06!!!)

Dr. Fullum is amazing! He is so personable. Someone told me that he is your WLS cheerleader. I would have to agree. I feel that he is just as much interested you my success as I am. I ask him if he minded if we prayed together before my surgery. He said \"sure thing.\" He took my hands and I led us in prayer. It was wonderful. He checked on my twice after surgery. I was so happy to see him. He wanted to make sure he answered all of my questions. I feel very blessed to have chosen such a wonderful surgeon.
