Thadeus Trus Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

7/19/01-Met w/nurse practioner and dietician today. Okd for Lap procedure and schedule for a surgeon consult on 8/2/01.

8/2/01- Met w/Dr. Trus. Approved for lap procedure. Dr. Trus stated he may have some difficulty as I have had previous abdonminal surgeries but feels confident. Dr. Trus reviewed what I knew about the procedure, the benefits, and of course the risks. I felt Dr. Trus was personable and straight forward. I did not feel rushed through the appt and feel confident in his abilities. He was honest about current & previous patients. I felt he described openly what he as a physician has been through in learning the dos and donts for patients. I am very glad to be having my procedure and Dartmouth Hitchcock w/Dr. Trus and the other staff members of the hospital. I feel confident in the follow up they will provide. I also know that we as consenting adults to this procedure need to take responsibilities for ourselves and comminicate immediately any issues or concerns we have pre & post op.

Explained all the problem with having the
surgery and not having the surgery. I liked
him. He wanted to make sure I wanted this
surgery. The second meeting I had with him
after the surgery was very good. The staff
is great and very helpful. Future patients
should know about Dr Trus is that I'm very
glad that he was my surgern. He beleives
in the surgery strongly. He also seem very
concerned about his patients. I have been
doing so well with the surgery with no
problems. At DHMC thay have a aftercare
program that is very good. I can't comment
on the bedside manner because he was only
able to see me once because he had to
do a speach on the type of surgery he does
but I had 3 Dr.s that was checking up on
me when I was in the hospital. He did
stop in to let me know that he was sorry
that he couldn't see me wright after surgery
and explained why. I was only in the
hospital for 2 1/2 days. I was very happy
with Dr Trus

I met Dr Trus a few eeks ago. The only thing I can say is that the whole darn staff at Dartmouth is truthful and sincere. The Bariatric Program is a fully comprehensive before and after care program. It is amazing. You are never, and I mean never, bothered with little details, or any details, reguarding insurance. They litterally do it all!

Met Dr. Trus on 3/29/01. He's fairly young (approx. 38-42 I'd say), very nice and was pretty thorough explaining things. Everyone in the office that I've met so far are really nice.
