Dr. Theresa Klainer, angel from above. She had the surgery herself, so I trusted her. She is caring, empathetic, and down to earth. She is through in examinations and truly cares about her patients, lifestyles and outcomes. Her aftercare program superceeds any I've ever seen before, they are strict, but its worth it...she has her patient's best interest at heart. On a scale of 1-10, she is a definiate 10! Dr. Klainer is a wonderful doctor. Everything about getting ready for my surgery was all crazy due to hurricane Katrina. The doctor had to move so the process was very long.
When everything was in order she was so helpful in preparing me for the surgery. The staff and doctors that work in her group which is with LSU were wonderful. I ended up having my surgery at Vista Surgical Center in Baton Rouge, LA since the New Orleans hospital was shut down. I would recommend Vista to everyone. They were just wonderful there. It is a small facility I received all sorts of attention. When I called the nurse she was there.

At first I wasn't too sure about Dr. Klainer. The next time I saw her I knew I had made the right choice. Is was very patient and understanding when I bombarded her with questions. She even encouraged me to ask more. The office staff is great!. If you ever run into any problems just call FAYE. She is awesome, and she runs the joint wether thats her postion or not. LoL Everyone made me feel so at ease. One of the nurtritionist was not very practical in her request at times but they are still very helpful. The program at the weight management center is very structured to make sure you get great care before and after surgery.

I am now a week post op. I stayed in the hospital for a week due to minor (gas) problems. Dr. Klainer is the QUEEN! Everyday I thanked God that I chose her as my surgeon, She is so knowledgeable but is also able to seek advise from her collegues. She also has a very caring attitude.

I was first skeptical and scarred, even more so on the morning of the surgery. I had heard a lot of great things about St Charles General but this was my life we were dealing with and at this point the only thing left to do was to leave it in God's hands. Dr. Klainer was very thorough with me. She explained the risk and complications going in. She stayed there with me right before surgery the first time. I had a bowel obstruction the first week and had to go through another surgery a week after and once again she stayed with me. I thought Dr. Klainer was a five star surgeon. I love you for giving me my life back
