Uthaiah Kokkalera Bariatric Surgeon

Technically capable, but mishandled the repair of my leaking port by not making the manufacturer pay for the repair procedure. Threw my program into chaos. Then clinic shut down, and I was on the street. I have not been the same since.

I love Dr. Kokkalera! He sees me as an individual and treats me with respect and dignity. He is a wonderful surgeon and is there for his patients all the way. I only wish he were affiliated with a different hospital. The hospital that I had the surgery at was Northridge Hospital and the nurses were rude and kept getting my chart wrong. I kept having to correct them and tell them that I had the gastric bypass not the lapband. The very first nurse before surgery started me on the wrong chart all together and then after surgery my room was not ready when I got there and I spent an agonizing hour with no pain meds! It was a nightmare. You couldn't pay me to go back to that hospital.

I cannot say enough about my surgeon! Dr. Kokkalera (Northridge Hospital Med Center, located in Northridge, CA)is AMAZING! He & his staff walked me through every aspect of my surgery process from my initial consult to all my nutrition classes to prep me for the new life I would be embarking on!
I went in for my surgery so prepared and ready to begin my new life!
Dr Kokkalera is gentle, kind and extremly well versed in his surgical skills and he and his staff continue to be very hands on with their patients and are available day and night to answer my questions and address their patients needs!
I feel very blessed to have found them and it is making my journey a positive one!

Well I love my surgeon, in fact I waish he was my general care doctor for everyting. He is the nicest most easy to talk to doctor I have ever met. rnrnHe is interested in you and your specific needs. So far I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Kokkalera and his staff.
