From August 2017 up until now which is Thanksgiving day 2017. Dr. Roye has been my surgeon. I originally had my Gastric Bypass 03-31-2003..... At that time I weighed 420. I lost down to 190 , and stayed there a couple of years. Then slowly started gaining some of my weight back. close to 40 pounds. I struggles really hard trying to keep from gaining more. Then early this year I started having alot of pain. Hard pain , I finally had to go to the ER. Here at Baylor in Waxahachie. They did a CT scan, found out I had a Fistula forming. So I looked up Dr. Roye and had it fixed. He is a awesome Doctor. Very caring . I had alot going on inside, with alot of scar tissue. oh and he found 2 Hernias a Hyena Hernia and the other in my groan. He repaired everything.. So far I've lost 30 pounds.. I'm hoping for 20 more... Thank you Dr. Roye

Dr Roye is a very Kind, Intelligent, and Caring doctor. From my 1st consult he was sure to tell me that his main priority was for me to have a HEALTHY and succesful surgery. He wanted to ensure that this was the correct choice for me and not just a payday for him, and along with what many insurances require he also requires a visit to a Phychiatrist rather than just a therapist or a councelor. On the day of my surgery I was having some pain issues with an undiagnosed case of Gout and he had several tests run before he would go ahead with the surgery to make sure that I would be ok and that there were no other problems that would develop and casue any other problem. I would highly recommed Dr Roye to ayone considering WLS surgery, I don' t think you could find a better doctor.

Update 08/04/2010: I heard today that Dr. Roye will be leaving Amarillo in 2011 and returning to Waxahachie. I will be sad to see him go, but if the reasons given to me (from another patient) are correct, then I can understand. He will be greatly missed however.

First off, Dr. Roye is located in Amarillo, TX now, so OH needs to update that. :)

I've had great experiences with Dr. Roye. When I had my first consult at the end of 2008, he explained to me the difference between lapband and rNy. Initially I was going to have lapband, but I decided rNy would be the better choice after he explained it to me.

I was required to lose 20 lbs before surgery, but instead I lost 50. I met all other requirements and had my surgery on 06/17/2009. He told my husband after surgery that I was a rock star because I lost more than what I was required. I still get giggles over that.

He was a great surgeon, I healed very quickly and his bedside manner was wonderful. I can't really say anything bad about him.

Dr. Roye is absolutely amazing! Very informative and willing to answer any questions you have. I had some some questions after surgery and called his office...not only did he make sure my questions were answered, he called me on a Sunday to make sure I was still doing ok! I feel blessed to have met him!

Well, What can I say about Dr. Roye. He has to be the most attentive Dr I have ever had to deal with in all of my life. He came to my room 4 times a day to check on me, made sure I understood everything and was comfortable. I have had to call his office and he actually answers the calls himself. After the initial shock wore off I was able to ask him some questions pre surgery. Since my surgery, which Dr Roye says went off without a hitch, I have been really sore but other than that no problems. I am due to see him again Wednesday for my JP removal. I will ask any other questions that I have then. rnrnWhen looking for a Dr, bedside manner is a major seller for me and you could not ask for better with Dr. Roye. Will update after visit Wednesday.rnrnGod BlessrnLisa

Dr. Roye (now located in Amarillo, TX) has been a comsumate professional, compassionate, cautious and thorough during my journey thus far with him. My surgery was 11-03-08, I am doing so much better than I expected I would in such a short term. rnrnThere has been ALOT of drama and turmoil here in Amarillo regarding Bariatric Surgery in the the last year (I began my journey to WLS in 11-07). Dr. Roye was the perfect person to come to our town and take over where our previous surgeon left off. Amarillo has moved on and will continue to thrive under the care of Dr. Roye and his staff. Their level of professionalism and compassion are above reproach. I myself have a large team of Drs. that take care of my various health problems. Most are weight related, but the more serious one is not. Dr. Royes and his staff are the most professional and patient oreinted group out of all my Doctors and their associated clinic. rnrnI can only imagine what the future holds for me, under Dr. Royes care as I continue on my weight loss journey. It has been a long time since I felt excited about the future and what I might be able to acheive.rnrnGod is so good and given me so many blessings in my life, I am humbled and ever grateful.rnrn
