Well First of all this was the WORST appointment I have even been to. This LADY was not nice to me at all. She turned me down for the sugery due to the fact that I SMELLED like smoke!!! Can you beleive that??? I quit smoking in January, the ppl I stayed the night with smoked and It lingerd onto me. She told me the WHOLE room smelled like smoke. And that they DO NOT take ppl who smoke. I tryed to explain to her that I ahd stopped smoking, but she refused to listen to me!! I could not beleive the way I was being treated by this lady that didnt even know me!! And my best friend who was also turned down by her said basicly she could not have the surgery casue of the way she ate SOMETIMES!!!!! OMG lady get a life we are FAT casue of the way most of us eat!! I would not recommend this lady or DR to anyone. I think the DR should be the one to say yes or no for the surgery. I waited over 6 weeks for this, and I also had to travel over 4 hours to get there, jsut for this WITCH to say I smelled like smoke!!!!!!! IM IN SHOCK!!!! But thats ok, I ahve another surgeon and Im sure he will be very understanding. Robin Lapre you need to be more sensitive to OBESE ppl. And may god be on your mind when you turn these wonderful ppl away casue they SMELL LIKE SMOKE OR EAT DIFFERENTY!!!!!!!!!

I want all of u to know that if you are set up an appointment with this women BE WARNED she is totaly not a nice person cannot talk to this women very hateful and snobbing I waited 6 weeks to see her had all my papers in hand at visit traveled 4 hours away done lab testing and alot of getting my medical hystery done so nothing would stand in my way for this surgery WELL let me tell u she said that YES I am Medically Qualified for the surgery BUT because I tend to Binge dur to the fact Im miserable and very Morbid obese aint that why we go to these people cause we need help duh!!! Overall the experience was a night mare and I wasted alot of time to see this witch that she is BE for WARNED !!! There is no rating for what I thought about her and she also told my freind that was with me we were gonna do the buddy system thing told her she was Medically Qualified for the surgery to BUT told her she smelled like cigeratte smoke NOW take it she has not smoked since the appoinment that we had scheduled and by the way the paper states that u need to be smoke free by the surgery not the first visit!! But declined her as well BECAUSE SHE SMELT LIKE cigarett smoke CRAZY !!!! she is a joke and this needs to be posted because this is our lives and as far as she knows about us is that out doctors said we needed this done as well has our pshy. doctors too we meet all the qualifacations to have this surgery BUT because of her we cant have it here BUT I will get a second opionon indeed!! Dr. Lapre was very thorough and friendly, she was able to answer all my questions. I look forward to my next visit.
