I love their bariactric center. They drugged me super wll before surgery I dont even remember going in the room! Which is a plus for me. My stay was alright. There was a man in the same part of the hallway who must have been deaf and watched tv all day every day blaring. I would ask them to close his door or mine and they would but shortly they would check on him and leave the door wide open again. Im surprised they didnt do more your hospital stay should be restful. I was made to have a roomate and she puked, alot. I had the bed next to the bathroom and she would puke and poo at the same time. Pretty gross. I wish they had individual rooms. The staff themselves were funny and accomadating they made me feel like i was in good hands. Also the valet scraped up my friends car when she came to pick me up.

the nursing staff including nursing assistants where awsome at what they did! I did not mind sharing a room except it was gross sharing a bathroom. My room mate also had a commode in our room which she used often smelling up the room making me nauseated. my room mate walked right infront of my bed and her family members even came in to look and smell my flowers creapy. Also when my family was visiting and concerned about my stgatus my room mates family was asking them questions and listoning to staff discuss my care with me. The foot of my bed was facing the door which was always open for people to see directly in at me also shing the hall light in my face and I did not sleep at all because of it. I know my hippa rights where violated, but not by nursing just by the hospitals layout. I think my room mate and I also shared a call light because when either one of us called for a nurse some one came in and asked if I pushed the light needing something often waking me while I was trying to rest. Most of the time it was not me! I wonder if I had an emergent situation if they would even know I was the one who called ?

My experience of Abbott couldn't have been better. Every single person I came into contact with was exceptional. I was listened to, consulted about my care, and cared for in the most professional way possible. I'd go back to Abbott in a heartbeat for any health issue. Great hospital with great professionals.

The anesthesia team was fantastic. They were kind, considerate, and incredibly sensitive to my concerns and fears. They were tremendous, really. The staff in the PACU was also fantastic. It went down hill once I was in my room and I was being poked by my nurse yelling, "Kathy! Kathy!" My name is Alyssa. My middle name is Kathryn. Where she got Kathy, I have no idea. But from then on, I had to correct everyone who walked through the door. Thankfully, I was only there for one night. Though, it was not a private room and the corridor was tight - I could hear everything from pumps to coughing to snoring to vomiting to toilets flushing. It was a very unrestful sleep to say the least... even with pain meds.

Station 40, where the bariatric patients are transported to post-op, is an awesome floor with knowledgable and helpful staff. They are very attentive and very quick to respond to your needs. Truly a wonderful hospital/unit

This hospital has a limited number of single rooms, and I had to request one ahead of time. Luckily, the day of the surgery, they had a single room available. The only problem was I had to stay in the recovery room almost 2x as long while I waited for my room to get cleaned. Overall though, I was impressed with this hospital.

Only downside to this hospital is parking. There isn't a whole lot available and I think it's a tad expensive. Otherwise great!

I love Abbott Northwestern. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they don't validate parking. That's why I rated parking as poor.
