I think Baptist Medical has the same problem that most hospitials have. They are understaffed and overworked. This hospital has everything needed for the overweight WLS patient. They have special beds, that are great to get in and out of. Large wheelchairs. I think most of the WLS patients are put in 6A and the staff there is well trained and some have had the surgery and know very well how you should be treated. This hospital is Excellent for the WLS patient. On the down side the rooms are small and it is difficult to get a private room. You need to request it on check in and from the nurses station right after your surgery. I got one the second day. Much more room in the private room.
