Creighton University Medical Center Hospital
I would never recommend this hospital to anyone who wants to have success with their weight loss surgery. I think it's important that everyone in your hospital knows what a gastric bypass surgery is and how to deal with common mishaps. If I would have stayed at that hospital and taken their instructions, I probably wouldn't be writing this review today. One of the doctors actually pushed on my stomach, which was one of the worst pains I have ever felt in my life. The nurses and doctors didn't care because they didn't have a clue what my surgery was.
Bariatric team was tremendous, Creighton Hospital Staff was terrible. Do not feel like my needs were met. Left in room with no help to Bathroom, put in chair at 2pm and no help to get back to bed until 430pm. 1/2 hour waits on pressing nurse button at times. Night staff is 100% better than day staff. To much noise and to many students in hallways make it really hard to relax during your stay. No nurse assisted in walking entire stay. Nurses were from other areas of the hospital and not familiar with the needs of the WLS patient.
