Davis Regional Medical Center Hospital

I was both a in-patient and a out-patient because I ended up staying a extra day. Both times I was treated with respect and I never felt like I was just another "Fat" patient in for a quick fix. I did end up in the ER of this same hospital 8 days later for being very dehydrated. I received less than average treatment by the P.A. in charge in that part of the hospital. My 2nd I.V. bag ran completely dry and I almost ended up pulling out the I.V. needle myself so that air would not go into my vein. I did get very scared about that ordeal, and I ended up yelling and screeming for help. I was not attached to a machine or monitor in the ER and my door was shut.

The pre-registration process was very time-consuming. Because the one woman--who was to pre-register the eight of us that were having surgery the next day--was out to lunch, we had to wait over an hour! There was just that one person registering people!
After that, everything went smoothly. The holding/recovery room nurses were fabulous. The OR techs/nurses were wonderful in easing my concerns & anxiety before the surgery!
