Most of the staff was good. I had the most problem with day shift. I asked about getting up shortly after surgery. I was alone with iv, heart monitor, o2 monitor, etc. Nurse old me I could get up anytime I was able. She didn't even offer to help me to the bathroom. I had to wait until after shift change for someone to unhook me a assist me to the bathroom. About 4 hours after I got in my room. Day shift was the worst. They did not even give me the call light on day shift. I had to ask someone from housekeeping to give it to me. At one point I asked for pain meds, waited over an hour then had to remind them. My sister had hernia repair the week before, was on the same floor(5) had the same kind of problems.
