I liked this hospital mostly, it was noisy at times. I kept having to ask for what I needed instead of it being offered such as pain meds or ice water and I would much rather they just brought it. I liked not being bothered constantly though but wished they would remember to turn lights out when they leave, keep things within your reach better, just little things.

my first impression of dr graber was that he was quite young. what I liked most was that he took his time and didnt rush me out of his office. He explained the operation in full details and made me feel comfortable. I knew within 10 minutes that I wanted him to preform my surgery.

I met Dr Graber at a support group meeting. I liked him alot, he seemed to be down to earth and open to answer all questions. Also I thought it was great if there was an answer he did not know then he would say us surgeons dont know or I'll check on that and get back to you. He didn't seem to sugar coat anything or to persuade anyone to have this surgery. I am going to meet him on April 22, 2003 and have him evaluate me for lap RNY which would be sometime in May or June. His nurse and secretary seemed to be most helpful on the phone as I haven't met them yet. I wish Dr Graber has had more experience than he does. He is a master laparascopic surgeon but has only done about 25 or 30 of these. I like the fact that the waiting period is only a month and that he's close to home. I have been told that he calls patients at home to check on them and does the aftercare including nutrition himself. I think he is a wise choice for me. I will update after our meeting in s couple weeks.

Dr. Graber is right to point, and tells you everything that is going on. It's so hard to put into words just how much I respect and trust him as a doctor. I know there isn't anyone better than him. His staff is also great. They called me everyday when I came home from surgery. Even Dr. Graber called, and how many doctors would do that? He tells you everything about the surgery before and after. There is nothing that you don't know before you make your decision to have it. He also did more to me besides the bypass, and had no problems, and no pain. There isn't anyone better than Dr. Graber.

I liked Dr.Graber rite from the very first time I saw him. My impression of him is getting greater and greater. His office staff is outstanding. Kind and patient. There was nothing that I did not like about Dr.Graber. That he is nice, very informitive. Treats you like a human. He has already told me I will be his patient for the rest of my life. I am so glad of that. Yes, there is a structured aftercare program. He has gave me info on it and will go over it again after surgery. He told me all the risk and complication that could happen. Answered all my question.Overall Dr.Graber is a wonderful person and very supportive. Both, Dr.graber has a great bedside manner and he explained the surgery process in detail.

2/19/03 Update

I went to my DR on 2/11/03, he told me everything is great all my blood work came back great and he will see me in 6 months. At that point i will be just shy of my One year WLS date. Plastic Surgery time. Yeah. Dr.Graber has been very supportive and helpful. I am so glad I had him as my DR.

HAVE NOT MET YET. BUT VERY HAPPY ABOUT THE TIMELY APPOINTMENT. I SEE HIM 3/4/03. HIS RESEPTIONIST IS AWESOME. I COULDN'T BELIEVE I GOT AN APPOINTMENT WITH JUST ONE CALL. HE IS NOT AS EXPERIENCED IN ACTUAL BARRIATRIC SURGERY AS A LOT I WAS LOOKING INTO, BUT, HE HAS PERFORMED THE SURGERY AT LEAST 4 TIMES THAT I KNOW OF AND HE HAS DONE LOTS OF LAP SURGERIES.

ANOTHER THING I REALY LIKE IS THAT HE IS IN HAMILTON. NO BIG CITY, AND ABOUT 20 MILES FROM ME. I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET HIM.

Dr. Graber is very nice man. His office staff are very nice and encouraging.I really didn't dislike anything about him. He addressed all of the risks and benefits of surgery. He explained the need to excersize postop.

I was very pleased with Dr. Graber at my consult. I had heard that he was not the warm and fuzzy type, and that didn't bother me, but actually I found him to be quite personable and also professional. His receptionist and nurse are very sweet and so helpful! The program seems very thorough, he stressed aftercare and the risks, but he made me feel at ease as well. He acknowledged there are risks with any major abdominal surgery, but that I was young, in good health and had no previous surgeries, so I guess that means I'm on the lower end of risk. Overall, I was very pleased.

Dr. Graber has become my lifeline. Without him I would still be miserable. I had a laparoscopic Roux-n-y performed on 10/2/02 and have felt wonderful since. Dr. Graber and his staff prepared me for the surgery and have been supportive since. I have willingly been a resource for others considering the surgical procedure and spoken to others who have had the surgery. I would recommend Dr. Graber highly without reservation, he is professional, honest and skillful. I was his second laparoscopic procedure and I trusted him immediately. I want to thank him again for giving me control of life again. If you are searching for warm and fuzzy may I suggest a stuffed animal, if you are looking for skill and competence, Dr. Graber is for you.
