Forest Park Hospital Hospital

Overall the staff were very friendly and helpfull. If you had a question about something being given or just whatever they did not hesitate aswering. some gave advice, helpfull advice without having been aksed to do so.The facility is a bit old, but the staff worked very hard to see to it that I was comfortable wether it was 1:00pm or 1:00am. So snazzyness aside, my hospital stay was good.

Being an RN myself, I knew what was reasonable care. I was never given cathetar care, my heparing lock was never flushed until the needed to use it and then SURPRISE, it wouldn't work. I was never asked if I needed help with a bath or any personal care. Following surgery, I was never encourage to turn and my vitals were not taken regularly. I believe if my husband hadn't been there 24 hours a day I wouldn't have made it! P.S. My surgeon was great so he made up for the bad care.
