I went through the program letter sent to insurance co.(geisinger ins.) and I was approved in 1 day. They do not play office politics with there patients!
The staff EVERY single one, pleasant do anything for you! I said to the nurse it is a little warm in here,10 min.later maintance in to adjust the air! They care! all Bariatric Patients are givin a private room, with oversized everything! I was able to make and take calls 24hrs a day I could have had somebody stay with me (family)24 hrs a day.
The hospital is VERY clean and smells fresh not that "hospital smell".
I would recomend anyone that is having this surgery to come to Gesinger! they will not regret one minute of it! Dr.Gruneiro is an absolutly outstanding Bariatric surgeon!

I never planned on a gastric bypass, I was too afraid of dying. The program and employees are fantastic. About four months into the program I decided to have the bypass and not the band. It was a difficult choice but I am confident and comfortable with the team at Geisinger.
Post-Op comment: Everyone was so nice but I have to say they are understaffed in my opinion. There were 6 nurses to approx. 28 patients
