Overall great care. Nurses and assistants are sometimes delayed in responding, so don't wait until the last minute, if you can help it, to press the buzzer thing.

It was very clean. The staff was very nice and so were my on care call nurses. I had the tiniest little nurse taking care of me and when I had to get help to get out of bed she said "just lean on me" ... I laughed out loud and asked her if she realized I would knock her over ... it was a nice ice-breaker!

see above, can not say enough good things about HCMC. One thing that turns people off about this hospital is that is is the hospital that uninsured people living on the street can go to and not get turned away. But please also remember that it is a level 1 trama unit. It cant get better care than that.

Except for the noise during the night, everyone was attentive and caring.

I was very happy w/my experiences at HCMC. I had a 'rough start' w/another patient in the 1st room I was in. Came down to a matter of my health and safety. The charge nurse acted immendiately when I told her of the problems, and got me into a private/semi-private room ASAP. They were very concerned and compassionate towards me. Excellent care, caring staff, would recommend w/out hesitation to anyone!

My experience was as perfect as I could imagine. Every step was explained ahead of time, staff was very kind, my room was clean and private (not all our private, I just was lucky).

I have a few concerns. Fluids from IV ran dry 3 times. Then pain med for the IV was very late. Also nurse twisted IV line and no fluid was getting into my body for about 1 1/2 hours, called nurse to let her know and it took another 1/2 hour to get someone in their to fix it.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hospital room and the care I was given. The hallway floors were a bit dirty and I picked up several dust bunnies with the little booties they gave me to wear.
