Dr. Brian Cantor was my surgeon for my gastric sleeve on June 07, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital, MD.
He is a great doctor and he has a great team of nutritionists, nurses that help him. His office is very helpful and always responds to messages and questions in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him as a doctor to anyone that is planning on having bariatric surgery. He works with or is affiliated with Kaiser Insurance. His bedside manner is pleasant. Although, he is strict and expects you as a patient to follow his instructions and follow a specific nutrition/diet before and after surgery.

I am now 7 years post op and still keeping all my weight off. I had the best surgeon in the world. I can't thank Dr. Brian Cantor enough for giving me the tools to live my life again. Since my surgery I've happily inspired many of my co-workers and friends to take better care of their health no matter what that means for them, regardless if surgery is right for them or not. The work begins after surgery and for the rest of your lives. I'm thrilled to say I've maintained a healthy weight for these past 7 years and I owe such a huge debt of gratitude to the gift Dr. Cantor gave me and that's having my life back. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and my size 8 jeans!

I had my surger June 28, 2011 and I am goin going on my second year anniversary. I am so glad that I got the surgery. He made me feelcomfortable with him. He is so compasionate and he cares that you do it correctly. He will give you the straight truth no platitudes and he will spend time with you to answer all your questions. When I go to his office for follow ups he is always behind. I don't mind because I know he is spending that extra time with his patients and it not a cattle call to him

Dr. Cantor is a top notch bariatric surgeon. He's thorough and very strict with his patience. He is a surgeon with Kaiser Permanente and performs surgeries at Holy Cross Hospital. His partnership with Kaiser and the hospital offers full support for bariatric patients and I believe their holistic approach to assure your mind and body are prepared for surgery and the lifestyle changes is effective.

Dr.Prashar has been amazing since the very first meeting. He is supportive and encouraging. His office staff is always nice. He addressed all aspects of the surgery and gave me lots of opportunity to ask questions. The hospital staff went above and beyond after my surgery during my 3 day stay. If I had to do this again it is Dr. Prashar I would want to do my surgery. I am 2 months out and have lost a total of 42 pounds to this point.

Dr Prashar is a very personable Doctor. He cares very much for his patients and is very contiencious. He went above and beyond during my gall bladder removal surgery 6 weeks after my gastric bypass surgery. I would recommend him to one and all as both a Weight Loss Surgeon and a General Surgeon. He is a joy to visit.

I was recommended to The Weight Loss Center by several colleagues and friends. I first met with Dr. Prashar a year ago which I was nervous & he assured me that I was in good hands. We went over all procedures and risks, I had already knew what procedure I wanted and he supported my decision. Dr. Prashar is confident in his work which I feel there isn't any other person I could trust to perform either of my surgeries (VSG and gallbladder removal). Dr. Prasher always finds a way to keep you smiling, and he is very observant to your accomplishments. :)Always patient & listens to you & addresses any concerns. I can say I've recommended him & his staff to several friends and family members. His bedside manner is wonderful! Before surgery he will greet you and ask if there is any questions or concerns. Afterwards he went over the surgery and outcome with my husband since I was incoherent. I would rate him 5 stars, very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He has given me a new outlook on life, and I simply love him for that. Dr. Prashar your my favorite surgeon!! :)

The hospital intake and surgical staff were both excellent. Unfortunately, the floor nursing staff left a lot to be desired. Even though my floor was not full, the wait for assistance was always extensive. I was left on the porta-potty for almost 10 minutes the night after my surgery, and I later found out that both the nurse and the nurse assistant were not busy attending to other patients like they said, but sitting around talking! I've only stayed in the hospital overnight three times (all child birth) before and all three of those experiences were better than this one! I'm glad it's over!
