This was my first surgery at this hospital. Glad I switched from Reston to here for my bariatric surgery. Being a center of excellence makes a difference. From the hospital care to the monthly support groups. I really had great nursing care. They came around often to check on me which was appreciated.

I am so happy I had my surgery at Fair Oaks Hospital. Not only because it is one of 600 Bariatric Centers of Excellence in the country, but because of how responsive the staff is, how convenient it is and accommodating. They have truly thought of everything. The valet service so you can run in and get your labs and run back out...the results are at the dr office the same day. They even have a campus with dr. offices on it, so every specialist I needed to see was right there. they really made this experience excellent.

Fair Oaks Hospital has their very own Bariatric Section and I found it to be a wonderfully staffed area! Everyone there treated me and as far as I could tell ALL of their patients with tender loving care and encouragement! It made the beginning of my journey so much easier.

The only complaint. I ended up in the ER the day after my release. The reception was not as friendly but when I got to the back, the care was okay but not great.

The nurses and technicians who care for you are AMAZING! They were incredible at anticipating my needs and offering services, medications, and information to help me stay comfortable and relaxed during my stay. I never had the feeling that I was inconveniencing anyone, and they were very responsive if I hit the button for assistance. It is clear that they love their work and they love the hospital -- everyone was so pleasant and genuinely happy. As for the hospital itself. No detail was overlooked as far as catering to larger patients -- they have larger chairs in the waiting rooms, larger gowns, larger wheelchairs, bars over the bed in your room to help you lift yourself up, and a section of the hospital rooms are dedicated to bariatric patients. They've thought of everything! And the pre-op services (interviews, seminars, support groups, testing & evaluation services, etc) really let you know that they care about the well-being and success of their patients. They have an extensive post-op support program, as well. I can't recommend INOVA Fair Oaks strongly enough to those folks considering weight loss surgery!

I had the absolute best nurses while on the med/surg unit. They were caring, comforting, concerned w/ the one complication that I had, got it resolved and got me moving. I had the same tech for the first 2 days and she was a joy, I've sent a note to the administration to thank them.
