IU Health Bariatric & Medical Weight Loss Hospital

I was very pleased with my care from both Dr. Selzer and Clarian Bariatrics. I heard all the horror stories before I went to the seminar, after sitting through the talks I knew immediately that I wanted Dr Selzer for my doctor. I had a bit of a longer wait for him, but it was totally worth it. Yes, I did have to go through the 6 months of supervised weight loss, a requirement of my insurance, not my doctor, but I am thankful for that as well. I am now 7 months post Ruex-N-Y surgery. I have lost 105 pounds and have not had any complicataions (That I did not bring on myself from overeating, or eating too fast, etc.). Thank you Dr. Selzer, I believe you saved my life....I no longer require diabetes, reflux, meds, I can sleep without my sleep apnea machine, My arthritis has improved greatly! I can move and exercise and do multiple things that this time last year I would never have attempted....Thank you Dr. Selzer and Clarian Bariatrics!

I was very impressed and pleased with the care that I received from Dr. Selzer. I did not have gastric bypass but he was my surgeon for a Nissen Fundoplication in March of this year. He answered all of my questions and was never hurried during my consultation. He gave me his business card and told me that if I had any questions to just call the office. I had several questions and/or paperwork that needed to be completed between my consult and surgery and never had any problems. While in the hospital he actually came to see me answered all post-op questions I had and did my discharge. I have since been in contact with his office for some discomfort I am having post-op and I was seen right away. I think he is an excellent doctor and surgeon and would recommend him to anyone.

I had an awesome experience at this facility, Both at the Clarian Bariatrics pre and post surgery and at the Clarian North Hospital facility during my surgery stay. My husband had a comfortable place to stay with me in my room and raved about the eating facilities. The caregivers were very kind and helpful.

I had excellent nurses and aids to help me. Everyone was very pleasant and reassuring.

This hospital was terrific! They really seemed to care about all the patients there. Even if you was not their patient they would still help you and talk with you if you needed or wanted too. This is a terrific place to go to for surgery or when you are sick.

I have not had my surgery as of yet but I have visited Clarian North while I had my pre op testing and it's a very fancy place. I was told that I would have a private suite and I it reminded me of a Marriot rather than a Hopspital. LOL! I have been told by many who have stayed there that the nursing staff are wonderful!

It's very pretty, almost like a hotel. The rooms have flat screen televisions. They also have internet access in earch room.

I was going to have Dr. Selzer perform my surgery but I only met him once and has since gone through a whole lot of mess to try to get my surgery. I did all of the requirements before even going to the seminar. Clarian Bariatrics makes you lose weight even before the surgery. Heck if I could lose would I even want the surgery? I had to change to another surgeon who is better and does not hinder you by making the process long to the point you want to give up. Maybe if the Dr. Selzer would return calls to reassure patients then everything would be fine, or maybe even his nurse.

Has a Bariatric unit. Equipment accomodates large people. All private rooms with flat screen TV's, fridges, visitors can room in with you.

It was as pleasant as you could expect for just coming out of surgery!
