Miami Valley Hospital Hospital
I had some issues the first day. The PCT tried to change my bandages with her bare hands (no gloves). Also, the nurse on the first day didn't really pay any attention to me because she had "ten other patients". After my wife complained to the head nurse, things got better. If it wasn't for the first day, MVH would have gotten a good rating from me instead of just average.
Like I said everyone was very nice. They took forever, like 20 minutes to answer the nurse call button when I pushed it. That was no good. One particular PCT, lost her balance and put her hand right on my incision area to balance herself, I had to grab her arm and move her off of me. She then laughed and said she was just trying to get her balance. I was not happy at all. Then, later, she came in to give me a straight catheter, and put in in the wrong area. Another nurse came in and told her it doesn't go in the va----. I told her to leave after that. I requested that she not be in charge of any of my care from that point on. And the hospital accomidated me to that effect.
