I was at this hospital for my surgery 10 years ago and I still can't say enough great things about it. I can imagine it has only gotten better with time! It was so warm and inviting for my family and me. I ended up staying 8 days due to very minor complications and a family member was allowed to stay with me overnight. My mom ordered her meals as if she were a patient and they just added the minimal cost to my bill. At the time I recall I was charged $14 for two meals for her.

This has been the best hospital so far I've ever been too. I was very nervous going into Surgery, but they were all very courtious and it happened so fast I didn't even know the surgery happenend. I didn't have one rude, arrogent nurse. They all understood I was going through a new experience and were all very helpful. Thanks especially to Carmen, she came in and explained to me how I would began this process and what requirements I was needing to do. I loved her and the hospital staff. My grandmother was there with me and she's been to more hospitals then can name and even she thinks that was the best hospital she's been too. Even though I wasn't able to eat, she did and her food looked GOOD. She finished hers and even though mine was liquid, it wasn't too bad. I'm glad I could order my tray when I wanted it. I LOVE this hospital.

This hospital has been recognized as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. It was modern and clean. The only thing I noticed that wasn't as nice as some hospitals I've visited is that the nurses didn't have much personality. They took care of your needs, but just weren't overly friendly.

The nurses had NO personalities! They weren't mean, they brought you meds and things when you asked, but just no personality...Everything else was nice!

The people here, with the exception of one nurse, have been some of the most helpful we've ever seen in a hospital setting.

I love the private rooms. There was fold out sofa bed for my hubby to sleep on. Internet access was at my bedside using my TV but was difficult and slow to use. Good variety of TV channels. Staff was wonderful, informative and especially sensitive to WLS needs. I was in the new Bariatric wing and it looks like this hospital is well prepared for all types of WLS and equipment for various weight needs.

The staff was wonderful all through my experience. The only down side was they didn't have enough rooms to move me out of ICU after the surgery.
