It was pretty good. Staff morale was low. Lots of management changes and lay-offs.

I think SRMC was great! The staff there is what makes it awesome. The bariatric nurses there were fabulous! They truly care and are well trained. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

Like any hospital, it's a miracle if you get more than 20 minutes of sleep at any given time. I would've appreciated if the lab tech hadn't popped in at 3.20AM to do a blood draw and the respiratory tech/nurse/nurse assistant/lab tech all seemed to come in about 45 minutes apart, but I suppose that's motivation for us get out of there as soon as possible! I had a private room (no idea why, there was only one on the entire unit) and would HIGHLY recommend requesting it, even if you pay more; the roommate situation looked grim.

This hospital has changed it's name to Shasta Regional Medical Center after a sale or some management change.

This hospital has always excelled in all areas of expertise. Its been here for a long time and it will always be our hometown hospital. I was born there in 1949 when it was called Memorial Hospital. My grandmother was an RN there also.

My overall hospital experiance was wonderful I was unfortunate enough to have complications and before I knew what was going on I was moved to Intensive Care. I was being fixed before I knew there was a problem! Now THAT'S service!
