Sanger General Hospital Hospital

The staff was extremely friendly, warm, and accommodating. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I had ever experienced and caused me buttocks & back pain several weeks post op. Also, the staff wasn't very well educated on gastric bypass information. For example, if I was asleep when it was time for my "2 oz feeding", I would wake up & find 3-5 2oz solo cups with my juice or gelatin waiting on my table and if I didn't eat them all, the nurses thought something was wrong. They also wondered why it took me so long to eat or drink.
I wouldn't recommend this hospital or wound never want to go back, but it was not due to the staff. Everyone, including the receptionists, office workers, etc. were friendly, helpful and made me feel well-taken care of.

The staff was incredibly pleasant, and they made sure to have one nurse on each shift who was post-op... it was so amazing to both see these beautiful ladies and to know they really understood what I was going through and where I was coming from... The hospital is small and does not have an ER... they focus on handling bariatric patients and as such are well-equipped to handle them. When it was time for me to walk 2 nurses went with me to help with the IV stand, etc, and they were so completely supportive and I really believed that they were there for me, and that they WANTED to help me and WANTED me to succeed. It was a very positive experience... I know it sounds strange to say positive about being in the hospital, but I really left there feeling like I had a chance at a new life and that I had people pulling for me. The hospital phoned me a couple months later asking for a survey of how I was treated and checking up on me to make sure I was doing well. Incredible experience, incredible people... this is the place to go.
