I had a wondeful experience at Sentara Leigh. The nurses were great and very supportive after my surgery.

The facility is equipped to deal with bariatric patients. BUT, the staffing levels are ridiculous. 1 nurse and 1 NCP CANNOT effectively deal with 10 - 12 patients. They were caring and did the best they could with good attitudes towards patients.

The only complaint I have is since after surgery you are on a liquid sugar free dirt, and that being said I was given popsicles and jello that were not sugar free and i had experienced the dumping symdrome. I would recommned you take your own sugar free popsicles and suger free jello

Connie in pre-op was the greatest! She made me much more comfortable prior to my surgery.

my stay at the hospital was wonderful. the nurses (except for one) treated me really nice. didnt have any problems at all.
