Everyone I met there, from the volunteers, nurses, housekeeping, everyone I encountered were caring, understanding and truly interested in my well being. Excellent Experience!

I had a pleasant stay. I had the room to myself for the first night but had to share it the second night. My room-mate was a bit strange, so that kind of sucked, but otherwise everything was fine.

I had a private room with an ocearn view...it was very quite ..it was great. My first night the nurse and the CNA would just peek there heads in about once an hour even if I didnt press the call button, that made me feel they really did care.:) I think the CNA was in my room most of his shift helping my up to the restroom or walking with me. He was wonderful. All my nurses were good , but the extra attention on my first night was very comforting.

I was dissappointed with South Coast hospital. The nurses were over worked. The rooms were not clean and the surgical ward was loud. The Nurses aides however were awesome. I was taken care of primarily by nurses aides. I would not opt to have another surgery at South Coast.

It's a lovely facility. I could see the ocean from my window. The pre-op nurses seemed to enjoy their work and helped me relax.

We are the only surgeons that perform all three major bariatric surgical procedures, the Lap-Band®, the gastric bypass and the duodenal switch. We have been able to quickly bring our large experience with setting up and organizing bariatric surgery programs to South Coast Medical Center. The administration has been wonderful, the operating room exceptional and the nursing care very professional.
