compared to my other hospital stays this was a good expereance. when I ask for help it was there the nursing staff was very attentive to my needs.
What an amazing experience! The staff was wonderful and the room was quiet and clean! if i could rate higher, i would!
They took very good care of me. I never felt like a burdon or a pain. They listened and helped me when I needed it
The hospital stay was fine. I was there only 2.5 days total. I chose "Average" for the restfully quiet response because as with all hospital stays, the staff does not let you sleep all night undisturbed. Also, patients rise at 5 am each morning to shower. If I went to sleep around 10 pm each night, I was also awakened at midnight, 2am, and 4 am for various tests or medications. Sleeping wasn't too great.
The accomodations were very good and each Bariatric patient gets a private room. They were also very helpful in finding suitable chairs and things for my mother, who stayed with me and who is handicapped. The bathrooms were large and the hospital beds were specially made for larger patients. They have a booming business for bariatric patients and they treat them well. The nursing staff was fine, but did not usually go out of their way to do anything. They were courtious and helpful, but unless you were in distress, they left you pretty much alone. Some people would love this, others wouldn't. I was fine with it. They do not walk with patients, though, and there were a couple times I would have liked to have some physical support while walking. I'm sure if I would have asked, they would have gladly helped me.
This was my first hospitalization since having my tonsils out 45 years ago. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous, but the staff at this hospital was absolutely fabulous and allayed all of my fears and concerns.
The staff at URHS was great. They were very helpful and caring. They are specially hired to help bariatric patients during and they are good at what they do.
