I can not say enough about UAMS I did want for thing nor did my husband who was with for the time I was there they are a very caring and the are very quick when you put your light on from the time I went in the front door until the time that I left I felt they are all excellent at there jobs

I was only unsatisfied that my husband couldn't sleep in my room because they did put me in a private room.

My experience with UAMS was very positive. You must remember that it is a teaching hospital, so expect many DR's coming to your room and examining you. But know that your surgeon makes the final decision about ALL of your medical care. Also, UAMS has something they call Primier Rooms. There is additinal chg for a Primier Room but for the additinal money you must pay (and it is not alot of $$) You get a larger room on a floor with wonderful nurses. Your larger room has a couch or bed where your husband/mother who ever can stay with you and help in your recovery! That benefit to me was such a blessing.

I was a post-op patient admitted to a room with a patient who had 102 degrees of fever. That should not have been done.

I had a private room. It was nice and clean, lots of chairs for the visitors and very roomy. The bathroom was very roomy also, it was great. The window view was great also.

I realy must qualify my answers. I was in ICU for 6 days. The care and nurses were absolutely excellent. I have had so many health problems, and have been in other Icu's.... This was the BEST of care.
The regular hospital room was not a good experience. There was smoking in my room..... One nurse had the nerve to ridicule me for having WLS.... I could not get out fast enough.
