UNMC-University of Nebraska Medical Center Hospital
Overall I had a very nice experience.
Out of 6 days I only had one nurse, by the name of Tina who was dreadful. She was so dreadful, that if I could not guarentee not having her care for me ( and I use the word care loosely) I would not risk being a patient here again..even if I only had to endure 12 hours of her. Unfortunately the 12 hours I had her as my nurse, were some of my worst, and
she was a disgrace to the nirsing profession. The other nurses, esp. Melissa and Roger were excellent. She should be required to work under them for a year. I plan on notifying the hospital of both the negative and positive care I received.
The hospital was amazing I got there two hors early and they told me i would have a wiat which I knew i would when Ic ame out of admiting the OR nurse was standing there waiting on me so my surgery eneded up being 3 hours earlier then was suppose to have been which Iw as thankful I don't think my nerves could havehandled the waiting....the NURSES were amazing at UNMC wery caring
The care I received was excellent...Especially the nurses...They were very helpful and they allowed my hubby to stay with me the entire time..He did help me the most...The only problem I had there was when I had to get an upper gi done...I thought the people there were not compassionate and were too busy socializing about plans outside the hospital...I was really scared at the time...But that was the only thing I didn't like..
